Who was Ellen G. White? Although regarded as a prophet among Seventh-day Adventists, it’s fair to question whether this woman deserves such a title. After all, the Bible explicitly tells us not to believe every person who claims the gift of prophecy. Rather, John counsels us to “try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world”. This documentary passes the life and writings of Ellen G. White through the seven Biblical tests authorised by God to verify the true, and expose the false. It is these tests that will ultimately determine whether Ellen G. White was a genuine prophet, or a spurious pretender.

I was married to SDA man and became an Adventist since 1989..I became a true believer and myself and 5 children, x4 grandkids are still attending church and keeping God's commandments. I never knew nothing about Ellen until the last 5 years. My husband had stage 4b cancer and was released from hospital as nothing else they can do but spend time with family cos he won't have long to live. We turned to God and was lead to Ellen G White books...no more meat in our household ...strict fruits, nuts, cereals, vegetables. We even juice green vegetables with green apples...my husband was clear from cancer within 6months. I truly believe that her visions are from God. If it wasn't for her vision regarding our health, we wouldn't of known what to do. God bless 🙌 🙏

@@Wendy-jg8dx good for you, praise God ! Before Ellen White was even botn, many people and whole nations have been vegetarian and vegan for thousands of years. God didn't give any health message or any other visions to Ellen White. She borrowed the "health reform " from a friend of hers after she was impressed by that lady's knowledge . No God's finger in all of this .

I was a born Adventist but never knew about a prophet in my church, never read her books and almost left the church. After getting married I began to read her writing out of curiosity. I am much better Christian today because of reading the Bible and her books. I still have many books of her to read but I thank the Lord for Mrs. Whites writing guiding me back to the Holy Bible and back to God!

@@Freshie13 Well, your father is an Adventist and your mother is an Adventist and they took you to church with them when you were little. You kept the same faith as they did and, if and when, you decide to change that, you stay right where you are. Many children take the faith of their parents. Young people have been doing that for centuries. Didn't you know that?

This is great. I am a member of Baha’i community. I grew up in Kenya. During high school, I read the books of Ellen White. The message in those books gave me direction in life, kept me from drinking, smoking & following other dangerous paths that young people get into. My affection & respect for Ellen White & Adventists know no bounds. Thanks.

Thank you. I see from your testimony here that her work has been a savour of life beyond professed Adventists. I find it interesting how the messages in her books gave you direction in life and preserved you from many vices, while at the same time you have chosen a faith outside of what her books point people towards. I understand that the Baha’i community teach a coming together of all religions, as though there is value in the all. But Christ called the founder of other religions thieves and robbers, as EGW expounded upon His words: “Christ is the door to the fold of God. Through this door all His children, from the earliest times, have found entrance. In Jesus, as shown in types, as shadowed in symbols, as manifested in the revelation of the prophets, as unveiled in the lessons given to His disciples, and in the miracles wrought for the sons of men, they have beheld “the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29), and through Him they are brought within the fold of His grace. Many have come presenting other objects for the faith of the world; ceremonies and systems have been devised by which men hope to receive justification and peace with God, and thus find entrance to His fold. But the only door is Christ, and all who have interposed something to take the place of Christ, all who have tried to enter the fold in some other way, are thieves and robbers.”. DA 477.3

No need to listen at all. EGW was not a prophet. It's as clear as a bright shining day. I have my Bible . I don't need the wrong interpretations of other people . Especially when they are deemed "prophets".

@@calebanorris014 I don't see any irony here . The canon of the Bible was compiled by men , Catholics. The books were written by people , of course, not angels. God inspired the authors . Later on come self profesed "prophets" like Ellen White that claim they have visions from God . To such impostors I say "Get lost!". I don't need their visions and wrong interpretation of the Bible .

@July-A7 your comment is interesting because from my understanding she didn't claim herself to be a prophet and also told ppl to not repeat what she says but truly follow the bible and it's teachings. I haven't read any of her content by the way however jumping to assumptions without even bothering to understand is an interesting way of thinking. Being able to converse and have an open mind to bring people to the true word of God doesn't include shutting people down and not listening. I find learning and reading perspectives different than my own helps to build a better case in which to speak on.

I'm more than qualified to talk about her writings and status than the likes of you. My first comment stands and it is 100% correct. After you've done some homework and if you want to discuss, you are welcome . Just so you know though, noone in SDA , pastors and theologians of high standing have been able to defend the official position of SDA.

I was an Adventist pastor and teacher for over 30 years.I read almost every letter and book that E.G. White wrote, and I made the following conclusions: 1.She was passionate about what she was doing 2.She was a false prophet who "stole" much of her "I was shown stuff" 3.She contradicted the Bible a lot. CONCLUSION: I left E.G. White's cult a.k.a. Seventh-day Adventist church.

As a writer of Devotional Readings, I can say that it takes emptying of oneself through prayer and asking for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to convey the truth that God's people can understand. When I read the finished Devotional which includes scriptures, the words nourish my soul. And that is the difference in using one's spiritual gifts for the glory and honor of God. It is impossible for us to convey wisdom and spiritual knowledge based on the Bible without Divine Intervention. I was taught the Spirit of Prophecy from the ages of 6-15 while attending Adventist schools. I study the Scriptures and the Spirit of Prophecy. God uses people as His messengers. When we commit ourselves to God, the Holy Spirit gives us discernment of truth. Prayer, surrender, and diligent study of the entire Bible are necessary to receive spiritual blessings. Many do not know how to apply the Scriptures to their lives nor do they understand that Salvation is not just head knowledge. We must have a heart-to-heart relationship with Jesus Christ based on faith, trust, and obedience to our loving Lord and Savior.

A 17yr old with a head injury with zero education.. springs to mind. Ask yourself this… she rejected the truth that no one’s knows when Jesus shall return. Is this a person that holds up the Bible as the ultimate truth. Clearly not, this is nothing short of a Cult and all who follow her seem to function on the same wavelength, and it’s called distortion and one day, will be one day. God declared clean meat as food, to say meat shouldn't be eaten is contrary to the word of God. There are many false claims of Ellen's that are not mentioned here but even in this pro Ellen white documentary she is shown to contradict the word of God.

Apparently you have no idea about the Bible and how harmful meat has become. God said in Genesis that humans and animals should feed on plants. Ellen White did not forbid eating meat, but simply said that it is better not to eat it.

I am not an Adventist but your presentation, as well as the Sabbath services by your Aussie group, have inspired me to read Ellen’s writings and, as Paul advised, “Prove all things. Hold fast to that which is good.” Moreover, I like what Ellen herself stated in her “Talk by Mrs. E. G. White in College Library, April 1, 1901”: How can the Lord bless those who manifest a spirit of “I don’t care”-spirit which leads them to walk contrary to the light which the Lord has given them? But I do not ask you to take my words. Lay Sister White to one side. Do not quote my words again as long as you live until you can obey the Bible. When you make the Bible your food, your meat and your drink, when you make its principles the elements of your character, you will know better how to receive counsel from God. I exalt the precious Word before you today. DO NOT REPEAT WHAT I HAVE SAID, SAYING, “SISTER WHITE SAID THIS,” AND “SISTER WHITE SAID THAT.” FIND OUT WHAT THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL SAYS, AND THEN DO WHAT HE COMMANDS. As for her losing a battle in court, I know from personal experience that courts are not always correct. The courts of the Sanhedrin and Pontius Pilate were not correct, nor were the courts that tried Socrates, Joan of Arc, Thomas More, Martin Luther, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, and many modern prisoners exonerated by DNA evidence. If courts were always correct, we would not need appellate courts; their main function is to oversee and, where necessary, correct mistakes in the lower courts. So, whether the court that ruled in Ellen’s case was correct . . . who can tell? However, the main test of Ellen’s work is whether or not it leads people to God’s Word and His righteousness. The Father alone converts, John 6:44. The results of that “test” will be known only when the Book of Life is opened and those therein can tell their own stories. If Ellen led only one person to God’s Word, would all her writings have been worth it? Jesus says one person’s life is worth more than the entire world. Matthew 16:26. If Ellen’s writing is of no value to you but of great value to another, should you block the one who would profit from her teachings? If a certain teaching of hers does not suit you, why not just let it alone? Let others come to their own conclusion about such writing. Who knows? Perhaps your restraint may have allowed another soul to find their way to God’s Word through Ellen’s writings. Jesus was not accepted by some close to him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, and among his own kinsmen, and in his own house.” Mark 6:4. Should we be surprised that Ellen was not well received by many of her own? MAYBE THAT ONE LOST-AND-FOUND SOUL WILL BE MINE!? PLEASE, DO NOT HINDER MY PATH!

Indoctrinated . Look into Jesus and the Bible as God's word and authority . Face it she used inspired writers words and gave it to church sold many books . Even the very elect will be deceived. Do you even actually know how many books the so called spirit of prophecy contains ....if don't read and obey what's in all of them because you claim she is legit. Over 2000 supersedes your time with the Bible. And wait till you come to read the really questionable stuff like in her visions she saw Enoch on Jupiter and to gain access into heaven she were given a gold card in order to access etc...etc.

@@danieloostendorp9286 "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." 1 Thess. 5.21. It appears you have read much, perhaps all of her work, Daniel. No doubt some of it does not ring true for you. However, will you stand before the Great Judge sitting on the White Throne and honestly say that you found no good whatsoever in Ms. White's writings? If so, then your rebuke is well taken. If not, perhaps you may have gone a bit overboard in your criticism of her work. I found much good in her writings. I am not an Adventist nor am I a Buddhist, yet I find much good in both Adventist and Buddhist writings. We are all imperfect humans, brothers and sisters, seeking our way back to God, each in our own way. Be gentle, Daniel! Some day we all hope to be brothers and sisters forever in the Kingdom of God. Jesus tells us to pray for our enemies. I may be wrong, but I think part of the reason He gave this admonition is that we are all family. Yes, Ellen is our sister, yours and mine. I want to be able to meet her with clean hands and straight eyes and thank her for the good she shared in her writings and embrace her with brotherly love. I want to feel that same brotherly love from her and, yes, from you, also, Daniel. May the love of God be shed on us all and may we thank God for the wisdom He inspired in our brother and Apostle, Paul, to write those healing, uniting, and non-judgmental words, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."

@@GlennAmbort So a prophet according to you is allowed to write alot of confusing hogwash as long as there are more impressive writings that you referred to as hold fast to that which is good...it amazes me that SDA members would follow someone even if they find falsehood. I'll pray for you. This prophet tested according to Deuteronomy ...if a prophet prophecy something and it didn't come true ...do not listen to them ...if she lived in Moses time she would have been stoned

I was not convinced either way wether she was a prophet or not. I was going to try her through reading her works and have started, though slowly because of my main studies are the scriptures. However, I must say that this was very compelling and has moved me to feel the need to focus more on her works than I have been. I once refused to simply write her off just because of people's speculation. Now I've a notion to defend her through the works in her history. At least it will give others a chance to understand a need to study before judging. Thanks for the message family. It was truly inspiring

When I was young and was in the school and colleges, I had opportunities to read her books, but I never did so, except The Desire of Ages. Now I started reading them, and regret, and sighed, "why I did not read them before".

What do Seventh Day Adventists have against The Catholic Church and othe churches who attend mass on Sundays. In my country, all the Seventh Day Adventists street preachers (and almost all Pastors), main topic of preaching is primarily against the Catholic church. Focusing on the Sabbath. Never once have I heard them preaching about how to love thy neighbour's and God or to forgive etc. Is it like this in All Seventh Day Adventis churches around the world ??

I have read many of her books for over 23 years. I have also committed to memory the new as well as portions of the old testament. The bible always comes first. Once you are solid in your faith you can see whats good or bad and you are mature enough to discern. That being said the Desire of Ages is hands down one of the most compelling, and wonderful devotional books. It is a masterpiece, and after reading it 17 times, I still feel the language of the book to elevate, and ennoble my mind and even manners. Just like with any good christian book I am inspired to read and study the bible more and more.

I have to confess, I thought I knew who she was, but I was wrong. I am so sorry if I have led anyone astray by my previous statements regarding Ellen G. White, for I am now convinced she was a false prophet. Based on Hebrews 1:1-3, Hebrews 9:24, Hebrews 12:2, 1 John 2:27, Revelation 3:21, Revelation 14:4.

The problem with counterfeit money is it looks almost identical to the real thing. The way to disprove Ellen white and the SDA church is they do not keep God's annual holy days given by Jesus, kept by Him when He walked the earth and His disciples before and after His death. And now by the little flock that know His voice and obey His calling

I also wish to speak with Mary Magdalene and Queen Esther. After the Holy Word, Ellen G. White has always been my favorite author. I do believe she was/is, as she called herself, "The Lesser Light;" just as true prophets are Lesser Lights, reflecting the true light - JESUS... " to the law and to the testimony..." How to find out if she was a prophet of God ? Easy, search the word "globe" among her writings, and here is what pops up among 1273 hits.. "The hand of God is continually guiding the globe in its continuous march around the sun. The same hand which holds the mountains, and balances them in positions, guides and keeps in order the respective planets." Show me where that is written in scripture, that the earth march around the Sun.

She never called herself a prophet. They speak of Steven, Paul, John etc in the bible. I never go around saying "EGW says this" & "EGW says that". There are pastors/elders that will preach for an hour and over and over you just hear "EGW says". That seems a bit fanatical to me. So if in the last days it is written that young and old will prophesize is this the only prophet that adventists identify with? Or have they identified other prophets? I say use their work for God's mission, but never idolise anyone.

As far as pastors that preach from EGW as opposed to scripture, you are correct in stating that this is wrong. She herself said not to do this. You can read the sermons given by SDA elders like Waggoner and Jones, and they rarely quoted her, if at all, but only used the Scripture. To rely on EGW's writings for you sermons tends to give reason for the stigma that is upon SDA's, and should not be done. The Bible alone is what we are to 'prove all things' with. As far as end time prophets, the scriptures will be fulfilled in that regard. However, I do see EGW as the last form of inspiration which will be heavily documented and made available.

I think her picture being next to Jesus is a major issue. It makes it look like they’re showing her as high as the Lord God. That’s why I never really tried her books. I don’t want her to be an idol to me. I noticed in the quarterlies, they mention her books just as much as scripture. That’s really not good.

Well, in my research and study I have found her to be a dishonest women who stole others words but attributed those words as her own but also that those words were from God. She made money from plagiarism, she contradicted the Bible, many times, she had many false prophecies. And the reason she could write what she did about health, was because she plagiarized those words. She told her followers not to eat meat, shellfish etc, but had an appetite for consuming those foods, even after writing her health messages. All proven. She was not a prophet. If the church actually admitted this, then it would crumble, but they don't, they cover up, hide and make excuses for all the wrongs she did. Imagine them admitting that she was a false prophet, the money would stop pouring in from tithes, members would leave and most importantly, the doctrines that the SDA church hold to, would be proven false because without Ellen Whites babblings, they can not be proven from the Bible and the Bible alone. The investigative judgement is a prime example. The word is God is our only truth.

I am pleased to have had the honour of defending innocent Ellen White. She was a God fearing person, with illuminating insights from God, urging believers onto the pathway of righteousness. She was without question a prophet. The people of God appreciate this, particularly because in doing so, they invariably gain the desire, which otherwise they wouldn’t have gained, to wear the clothes of righteousness, and lead holy lives. In common with all those who oppose Ellen White, who do so almost violently, you’ll notice that there will be a noticeable common thread of reluctance, on their part, to lead holy lives. These ones use excuses to keep on sinning. Actually they make the hideous claim, stating that holiness is an impossibility. Therefore, quite naturally, they will dislike those who tell them otherwise. Hence their innate disapproval of Ellen White. This is right at the very heart of the matter. This is the real or true reason for their great disapproval of her. And although this is surprising, we shouldn’t be too surprised, that these ungodly ones will surface. God tells us this in His word , to expect it. Actually God calls them ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15 King James Version 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. The beauty of the Saviour is His righteousness. He is one who never sinned. This makes Him so beautiful to behold. He is wondrous to gaze upon with our adoring love that’s filled with joyful and amazing admiration. To begin with I was perplexed by these so called believers, these ravenous wolves, who were so openly opposed to EGW, with an opposition that was so bold. I was mystified by it, thinking that somehow they hadn’t dug deep enough. It didn’t make sense to me that their opposition could be of such outrageous proportions. But these are those who don’t really love God, albeit they undoubtedly think they do. Those who love God want to please Him. And therefore they want to obey God and keep His commandments which are not onerous to them. They are striving to be obedient. They are longing to be pleasing in His sight. Luke 13:24 King James Version 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. But the above scripture is an anathema to these ones who seek not after righteousness. And instead of being reformed by our reprimand, they seemingly become more and more hardened in their opposition to God’s holy command to be holy. 1 Peter 1:16 King James Version 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And as atheists with their self deceit can invariably be not reasoned with because of their secret opposition to God, so to is it with these detractors of EGW. They don’t want to pay the price of denying themselves by quitting sinning, so that the holy life might be obtained. But our unheeded exhortations to tread the path of holiness is not entirely in vain, because some onlookers will heed it, and aspire to it. And this denial of denying oneself so that sin can be forsaken, is achievable, if sufficient motivation is obtained. Because we know that all those who are perishing, wouldn’t perish, if they used the motivation of not going to hell. For we know that they shall know, when they are cast into outer darkness, that they could have repented and saved their souls, if they had simply aspired to obtain the holy life and be willing to pay the price.

Millions of books have been written on the subject of Christianity and to expect a writer will not use some of the same phrases is preposterous. So one of my questions is, have you written a book on a common subject and had people pick it apart because you wrote on the same theme, had some of the same ideas, used some of the same phrases as hundreds of other people? So there are 2 ways to read. 1 read to be critical and find fault and doubt what you read. 2 OR one can read to find a gem or nugget that will benefit the reader. How do you read?

The word "meat" is an old Saxon word for food in general and did not denote flesh when the KJV was translated as it does today. When the KJV uses the word "meat" it is referring to food in general, for example: Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you *every herb bearing seed* , which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be *for meat* . When flesh is specified, the word flesh is seen: 1Co 8:13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, *I will eat no flesh* while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. The foods which God originally created for man's food was not flesh.

@@hasites14 There were periods when eating flesh was forbidden. Adam was not permitted to eat it before or after his fall. Noah was given permission after the earth was decimated, but then during the 40 year wilderness wandering the children of Israel were given a vegetarian diet. When they lusted for flesh, God sent the quails and many of them died as punishment. So there are times when flesh was forbidden, and it will not be eaten by the redeemed in heaven. Flesh food was never God’s ideal for man and Ellen White is pointing people to God’s ideal which is a vegetarian diet.

OM is thee first primordal sound of this universe. So to call Holy Spirit you say OM and vibrate from your nose to your toes repeating Om Om until she comes. Then request and make known what you need/want of Holy Spirit. Must pray effectively within the rules. Cant pray like for all people who are not holy. For those who don't live for God but use God for themselves is a waste of time, not your time yet. God bless. God can't look upon sin so if He doesn't answer then the only prayer for them is the prayer of them turning from sin & serving God. Be devoted & serve. Store your goods in heaven not on earth. Gosh at least get started and read a Catholic bible only. All the others are so polluted by unholy it would make you sick. The JW's just took out the word "soul" out of their Bible. Can you b elieve it? They don't believe they set up the same false prophet scams that this group pulled so either jer. or Isaiah says in chapter ten about false prophets and not to follow them. There are way too many statements made by EGW that are just wrong and yet always ignored. When one’s visions can be found almost word for word in the previous writings of another author, they are not visions. “Her” health message was not unique even in her days. Again you can trace almost word for word her message from other health reformers of her day. I struggle calling her a prophet under these facts. She obviously had a big role in bringing many to the Most High, but to call HER the spirit of prophecy has always seemed blasphemous to me, as all those who share the truth of the gospel are operating with that same spirit of prophecy. That phrase has been isolated to her and it is purely wrong. At the very least, I can conclude, that our Saviour gifted her and her team with the gift of compiling truths already given to others in a more cohesive and impactful way. That cannot be denied. I am thankful to have read her books and have learned a lot. Yet now I know not to see them as her original thoughts from on high because most of the thoughts came from other publications

But why did she recommend Saturday as the Sabbath. We know together that there is not a single verse that supports Saturday as the seventh day Sabbath. I ask you by what power did Ellen White legitimize Saturday as the Sabbath? Is it from what was shown to her or from her own opinion? I very much doubt that based on what was shown to her, because it is impossible for God to put a Gregorian Saturday for His Sabbath, but based on her own decision Ellen White legitimized Saturday as the Sabbath. That is the wrong direction to lead all the SDA people in the world today. Why this happen? Would you please explain this?

If you read exodus 20. The ten commandments. The 7th day is the Sabbath. This is then confirmed when Jesus is buried before the Sabbath starts. Given that we all know he died on Friday. Sabbath begins at sunset and ends at the next sunset. The Sabbath is not only observed on earth but also in heaven. It is the day God himself sets aside to confirm that he is with his people, as an identity. The devil has distorted this inorder to mislead many into eternal condemnation. A direct disobedience to God's commandment.

Interestingly, this is the account of H.E Carver on Ellen White during the civil war: "The whole church was anxiously and prayerfully desirous to know what was duty at that crisis, and it did seem that the time had come if it ever was to come for the divine inspiration of Mrs. White to be demonstrated. True, an attempt was made to gain some credit for her by publishing a vision of the battle of Bull Run after it was fought and the result known, but the attempt was so ludicrously absurd that it was, I believe, never repeated. She could not even give us any instructions how to act in case of being drafted until it was too late to be of service. H.E. Carver was a Seventh-day Adventist minister in Iowa during the 1860's, and was associated with the Whites. When the Civil War broke out he, like many other Adventists, looked to Ellen White for counsel. That is his testimony about his disappointing experience.

I have not read it but I have seen anti EGW people talking about that book in videos. We know the blessing and truthfulness of the writings of EGW personally, and therefore have no reason to contemplate any "evidence" to the contrary. -Chris

@@camanab3740 The Spirit of Prophecy is not exclusively the writings of EGW, but her writings are certainly classified as such. Personally I can testify to the fact that it was her book "The Great Controversy" which convinced me that the Christian faith was the only truth and that the Bible was the Word of God. Prior to reading that I was what I would now call "new age". Like the Bible (which is also inspired by the Spirit of Prophecy) EGW's writings I have tested to be pure and enlightening. While her writings in no way supersede the Scriptures, they magnify what is written in the Bible and also give much practical instruction on things that the Bible does not have in depth such as in areas of health and lifestyle. Seventh Day Adventists more often that not misapply the writings of EGW. They preach sermons largely comprised of her quotes rather that the scriptures, they counter arguments from Bible verses with quotes from EGW (which they take out of context) and set her works up as a kind of idol. I would encourage you to read the book "The Great Controversy" like I did years ago for yourself: "try the spirits whether they are of God". -Chris

I have recently watched your documentary Heliosorcery which approached Biblical Cosmology from the view of the opposition and it is brilliant work . As a Berean we are to test all things . To examine that question for me would not be in the spirit of the Bereans (who not only studied but also received the word with all readiness of mind). To question the blessing I have received from the writings of EGW would make me a double minded man who questions the Spirit of God. There are people who comment saying that apostle Paul was a false teacher and provide much "evidence" for their claim. By your reasoning, I should reevaluate my position on Paul if I am to be a Berean. But after studying it, I am sealed regarding Paul's apostleship and know without a doubt that people who set out to smear his name are not led of God, but the arch fiend. Therefore, I cannot take these people seriously and have zero inclination to consider anything they say about apostle Paul. The only reason I would examine their "evidence" would be in order to dismantle what I have already decided are false claims. I feel the same way about any person who sets out to write a book against EGW. Have you read EGW's book "The Great Controversy"?

Amen! I believe Ellen White to be a prophet of God and her words to be inspired. Her life in some ways is a lot like my own, but one most be careful! I have seen many use her words as greater than the Bible and this should not be done. The Lord will always be the only way to heaven. 🥰

Hi brethren , I appreciate your hard work that went into making this documentary , I have been investigating sister white for myself and have found some unsettling truths in here writings ,I do believe that she had a gift , and there is no doubt that she was very knowledgeable and that she walked with the Lord ,but I don’t hold her as infallible, for example : we all know that sister white had been accused of plagiarism, which is no big deal in eyes , if someone borrows someones writings on historical events , maybe a thought in how to describe God etc , the issue I found is pertaining to a specific vision addressing the Battle Creek conference in Testimonies v5. Which sister white stated that she had this revelation of God regarding the condition of the church , which was almost taking word for word out of a book from a German author by the name of krummacher that wrote Elijah the tishbite 40 years prior, now how do we defend that ? When I claim to have a vision and somehow someone wrote the same thing 40 years prior , someone that didn’t claim Devine revelation , a Sunday keeper ! I want to believe sister white really bad , because I believe that we do have the truth , the best understanding of the word , but how can I reconcile this as taking her as the authoritative source and as the spirit of prophecy when that revelation is so clearly copied ?? Not being aware of the testimonies you are referring to, I cannot comment specifically. But I can testify that I have found the writings of EGW invaluable and besides the scriptures to be the most spiritually uplifting resource that can be found. There are always going to be hooks to hang our doubts upon. I believe that God purposely allows such hooks to exist to see whether of not we will dig deeply, and then once we have done all we can, to exercise faith based upon the weight of evidence. These "SDA exposed" websites are dark pits full of of lies. The fact that so many of them exist is itself evidence that EGW is a true prophet. Those websites show how desperate Satan and his devil possessed minions that write them are to slander the messenger of God. Instead of scouring Jesuit resources like those, I encourage folks to actually read EGW theses and ask God to show your whether or not she is from God. Below are God's promises to claim as you rad them: Luk 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Joh 7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. -Chris

Of course, you'd just be presenting her "predictions" which "came true" - even though there were evidences in the newspapers of those events at the time to likely come true. Why didn't you present the other side? Her shut door doctrine, her condemnation of those who doubted her prophecies - who she once claimed saw those individuals in the vision that they're in heaven, and now because they doubt, she said they were doomed, damned, lost forever with no hope. Her endorsement of the doctrine of sanctuary and investigative judgment, her predictions of the 2nd coming failing 3 times, her teaching of celibacy and denying the deity of Christ. Then she said in a straight line, "I never uttered a heresy." and you just nod.
