Graeme O'Neil takes a look at Ellen Pompeo saying there's no more original cast members she wants to see return, which would include Sandra Oh, before adjusting her answer.

I mean the quality of the show significantly decreased from season 10 and after Christina left, which times interestingly with what Ellen's saying regarding the change behind scenes..

I thought the first couple seasons after Derek died were fine, but probably the last three or four season have felt very flat. The show needs to end.

I mean Ellen isn't the problem nor is Sandra Oh. SHE DOESN'T WANT TO COME BACK. Ellen isn't talking bad about het or anyone.

This show hooked viewers at the very beginning because of Christina and Burke's relationship. Then the fans of them became Christina's fans becuse in true Christina fashion... She's Brilliant! They should have fought harder for Sandra Oh to come back... The fans have been waiting for forever. Let Sandra write/direct Christina's character in 2022... Hell give her a spin off show! That's what Shonda should have done. I would have watched Christina in Zurich over HTGAWM (and I love Viola Davis). C'mon people!

Sandra has publicly expressed that she closed Cristina’s story and isn’t interested in coming back. Although…she took a cute pic with Chandra Wilson and Shonda Rhimes at the Emmys so that gave me hope ❤

To me like she saying that they may change just because Sandra left. Don’t forget Sandra was very displeased with how her character was written and her race was unacknowledged on the show for the most part. So I guess Ellen wanted to make sure that that didn’t happen again.

Huh? Sandra and Shonda both didn't want Cristina's race to be a highlight of her character. Race isn't important to Cristina's character, it doesn't define her

Ellen’s ego seems soooo huge… that’s she’s too cocky to leave the show on her own and risk them continuing without her. She wants the show to die with her.

So 10 years is actually Seasons 1- mid season of 11. NOT seasons 1-10 lol, please remeber that the first season only had 9 episodes which ran from March 27 - May 22, 2005. This was also WHEN it was leaked that Patrick Dempsey had an affair. Season 11.

Hold up. You’re reading into it way too much. She’s always been gracious towards Sandra Oh. Sandra Oh has been pretty adamant about not returning so it wouldn’t be odd for her to not keep beating a dead horse about her coming back and including her among the ones she wants back. Of all the departing actors she’s moved way beyond Greys. Also Sandra Oh leavingr was monumental bc Sandra was the second lead. Not Patrick, no other character came close. So yes it changed the dynamics for the story, yes it allowed her to shift the series in another direction because she was the sole center. And remember she wasn’t exactly crazy about Dempsey towards those alter seasons. Sandra being gone upped Ellen’s value in terms of the show. Besides at this point, Ellen having been so brutally honest about feeling like it’s dragging she would understand really well why Sandra Oh left for new horizons especially as she tries to expand more as an actress. So don’t go stirring the pot.

There were a lot of issues when you look back on it now and I don't think a lot of them had to do with sandra. Those first couple years they had those issues with Isaiah Washington and then the stuff with catherine. I think Ellen has also complained before about there not being enough color on the set

i domt like her ever any its good for sandra thats she just left the seried and make cristina suffer alot i think the series and the whole team was jelous from her success and when she leave they begin to ask who is your fav ship and they all say derek and mer and we all know cristina and owen they are just perfect i hate the series when sandra oh left

I don’t think it’s shady. There’s 3 people that have returned and there’s a correlation with that “after season 10” clip. You can’t ignore the possibility.
