This was amazing it looked so fun and was amazing to watch the way the skirts moved and the whole choreography was just beautiful.

Score - *9* I never thought of using Hocus Pocus for a Jazz routine but this actually works perfectly. So much theatre and fun, I loved all the cape use and the performance at the start and the character was absolutely perfect and dare I say wholesome. All the turns and side by side work was so well executed, I think Ellie is getting better each week and her conconfidence is growing and I'm enjoying watching it shes really growing on me it was fresh, unique and something we haven't seen before which is always welcome to strictly, think Johannes and Craig were auditioning for RPDR tonight 😂 where's Michelle Visage when you need her. It was a great way to end a night full of well deserved tricks and treats I thought it was wonderful 🎃👻

I loved this and i didn't think i would! I hate couple's choice, but this dance was a full on show and so fun! A few timing issues and actually not a lot of dance content but.... they gave us a good show for halloween week! Adore johannes, well done ellie. 8 from me 🙂

I would have said this was more Broadway than jazz, which is a style that doesn't seem to feature in Couple's Choice. Whatever the style, I loved everything about it. A few wobbly bits but Johannes did throw in some pretty full-on choreography - and why not? I like it when the pros have enough confidence in their partner to take a risk (as long as the risks aren't simply dangerous).

9 Ellie was most certainly the best at embracing Halloween and the theme of the dance tonight. Completely in it from start to finish. Also felt the choreography worked as a fun and flamboyant perfomacne throughout without a dull moment. Could've been even more seamless in the transitions (which was a recurring theme tonight) and perhaps the content was a little repetitive by the end of the dance. Great, though, and she's really improved

I would love to get a music file of the full version of the instrumentation of that song

Ive wanted her to win from day one, she's makes me laugh 🥰 also from last week, my cousins and I were obsessed with Casualty and Gladiators back in the day, many a night performing dances to gladiators soundtrack, interspersed with scenes from Casualty for our parents and any of their friends that might have popped round for dinner. My dad would also be behind a newspaper feigning interest! as we perform our best Charlie Fairhead, (scratch yr head don't look anyone in the eye.) Leading seamlessly in to a dance routine of 'Do you feel the Power of the Gladiators? Do you have the speed the strength the heart to be a winner, it's not for beginners. Deep down in your soul, are you a Gladiator!' Yes im Jet!! I was totally Jet or Sandra from Casualty who noone remembers but we asked for pics of the cash cast and I had Charlie Fairhead on my wall my friends had take that 🙈 I don't care I'm proud! l loved performing too but I was too shy when I got older to pursue it....good memories Ellie has bought back to me 💖 thank you. I didn't know her story till tonight but its inspiring Just voted for them after Halloween week, well deserved top of the leader board! My 2nd fave is Hamza. I will say when it comes to this dance style I will always be VERY picky as I know a bit when it comes to musical theatre dancing. A couple of things I noticed were this: 1) As Craig appropriately said there were a couple of timing issues that she had but I'm aware of stuff like nerves so I can deal with that. 2) The main thing going forward she needs to work on is the accentuation of the steps and show precision in her dancing. In a style like musical theatre it requires that balance of the steps looking absolutely outstanding and yet although precise, it must also look like she is doing barely anything. And the issue with it was she needed a little bit more precision and accents to her dancing than what we got. That being said it was extremely fun and she really encaptured Winifred Sanderson so well. Well done. 8.

See I love this but giving Johannes, not just matching but an identical outfit (though fabulous) really highlighted the differences and weaknesses in Ellies performance. I was watching Ellie and thinking wow this is great then look at Johannes who is giving each skirt swish more drama, each lifted knee more height and I realised, no HE is great and that is how Ellie is meant to be dancing this.

I think this dance was confused about what it was trying to be. The whole body lacked a sense of music flowing through it and she got ahead of it quite a lot. Lovely characterisation though. 8

I'm love strictly, but I feel judges have become a bit lapsy daisy with their marking. Let's not forget this is a dance competion, I'm a bit confused at the moment with this year's show.

Score: 7 I really don't get what the judges were on about! This was slightly disappointing in my opinion. There were synchronisation issues and the dance was quite messy. She could of expressed her lines way more as she didn't finish them properly and she didn't include accent in her moves, this dance is really meant to shine and it just felt like she was walking most of time. She needs to listen to the music and really feeelll it to create some outstanding stuff. It just lacked some musicality in my opinion. Otherwhise I thought there was firece and passion and it was truly a spooooky performance! Overall I'm sorry I'm picky it just wasn't the best and in no world should it be top of the leaderboard?!

I actually wasn’t a fan of this dance at all, it looked very haphazard to me personally. It was as though she wasn’t hitting the accents of the music with enough aggression or finishing her movements. Johannes looked very sharp and in control, whereas Ellie was moving too politely.
