In my last video I added the detail pack and attempted to activate the DCC functions.
Following my initial test I contacted Ellis Clark and they sent me detailed instructions on operating the functions. This has clarified the many functions and features. I hope to now show some of these features. Very playable. Looking forward to getting the loco out on the railway.

I commented on the whistle in the other video and it, within the constraints of the speaker, sounds better. I await the arrival of my Black 5 which is a BR lined version.

I will play around with the sound levels. I had originally ordered the Eric Treacy in BR livery but when a couple of LMS versions became available I ordered as I didn't want to wait any longer. Hope you get yours soon. I will be putting up some videos of running in and coach pulling as soon as the weather allows. I have just ordered some 3D printed figures from modelu so will add them too.

@@hawthornhedgerailway1575 I have some Modelu figures of me. They require painting though. Did you know that if you have yourself scanned he can reverse the figure? That way you can be both driver and fireman. I wonder what his next O gauge loco will be? I would like a B1. However I would have to live long enough to enjoy it. Regards.

@@davidatkinson2167 I am happy painting the figures. It’s another one of my hobbies. I was hoping they would go with a Schools Class. A gap in production would be nice but not 4 years. Hopefully they will have gained some experience from the black 5 and can speed up the production process.

@@hawthornhedgerailway1575 I scratch built a Schools class in 1978. I still have it and though not as detailed as modern kits it still works well. Somewhere I have a short video of it pulling 18 coaches. Yes 18, not a mistyped set of figures. Unfortunately we all have to wait and see what EC has in the pipeline.

I hope this is of help to anyone trying to work out how the functions work or of interest to anyone considering this model. I will test on the garden railway when weather improves. Can't wait.
