Without Getting Killed or Caught is the true story of Guy Clark, the dean of Texas songwriters, who struggles to write poetic, yet indelible songs while balancing a complicated marriage with wife Susanna, and a deep friendship with singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt, on whom Susanna forged a passionate dependence.

Very nice interview, it's great to know young musicians appreciate and draw on past musicians, to hear how their music gave them joy. Many years from now someone will be talking about Sarah Jarosz's influence on their music.

Boats to build my Fave too! I am soooo thankful for the book and Film and your other book Tamara Saviano. p.s. I always wanted to sit at "Guy Clarks Table" myself, but I'm so fortunate to be surrounded by a very good group of musicians and songwriters. We do many of Guy's songs of course!
