We set off on a Taiwanese street food mission and ate as much local food as we could!
Throughout the day we managed to get a classic Taiwanese breakfast, some Taiwanese fried chicken, some Xiao long bao, a Beef noodle soup, some Shaved ice desserts, a bowl of Pork rice and some delicious fried stinky tofu to end the day.

Make sure you get some Taiwanese fried little pieces of chicken, tempura, and squid If you see them, they usually open at night time. One of the Taiwan national food.

40:45 the lighter colour one is not cabbage, it is banboo shoots braised in soy sauce based soup. Very traditional sides with pork and rice dishes.

Hi, the dumplings you had were called “Steamed dumplings” (very straightforward). the normal dumplings in Taiwan is cooked in water. And the famous xiao long Bao is translated to soup dumplings and they are more focus on having broth in the dumpling. 🎉 also there are pan fry dumplings which is gyoza in Japanese restaurants if you know what i’m saying. Sushi restaurants in Australia sells gyoza, not sure about in the UK.

You guys should try this stinky tofu place called 得記脆皮臭豆腐 in Taipei 公館 it’s very famous, if you go, make sure you try the opium tapioca ice next door.

Though I'm not capable to travel the world phisically (yet), it's through your lens I can see the world, for now at least. So thank you to you! Btw, if you want to come back to Malaysia, please come in March or after that, (we will also do Ramadan fasting, and after that celebrate eid) because now is monsoon season here and it's raining everyday. Though I'm born and raised in KL, I would like to suggest you to go to beautiful islands in Terengganu. I love islands and beaches in Terengganu. The blue crystal clear water under the sunshine. Such a paradise 💯✨

Those fried chicken, dumplings and xiaolongbao made my mouth water.😅 That beef noodle shop and want to know where it is?😊 ❤I just took the picture and searched it on Google and found that it is in Banqiao District. I live in Yonghe District not far away. I will definitely try these delicious foods if I have the chance.

The black strip is sea weed, like kelp, cooked in the Soybean Sauce .similar sauce as braised pork with rice (most popular street food in Taipei) , I am so glad you have very open mind to accept most Authentic Taiwanese food. Make me feel like to go back home too!

The side dish from the beef noodle place in the local market is firm tofu / bean curd and the green slimy one is seaweed. Traditional side dish you will see in Taiwanese restaurants. Enjoy 😉

Ahah I wouldn't say the worst in the world I'd give that to the Philippines. We have some nice food but it's all pretty bland, good in winter though. We are loving Taiwan what an amazing place we can't wait to explore the rest of this island!! Thanks for your support 🇹🇼❤️

I wouldn't say it's the worst. They're quite bland, much like Western countries except in the South, such as Italy or Spain. Studying in the UK, I've also learned how to cook there, and I would say UK food is edible, but I find it quite unhealthy. Coming from Vietnam, where veggies are on almost every dish, the lack of greenery is something I miss a lot. But still, I sometimes quite enjoy fish and chips 😋🤤 when I'm fed up with noodles.

@@EllisWRI agree with you Ellis 😂The food there, in general, isn't anything special but highly Westernized. You feel unhealthy literally with every bite. You've picked up Asian skills after leaving the cold, rainy UK - that's straight-up speaking your mind. The most honest travel vlogger on KZfaq. I'm craving your videos.

The most important reason that taiwanese fried chicken taste good is the chicken itself! I live in France, the quality of chickens here is under satisfying, which includes the farm chickens😑

Fried Stinky Tofu is bearable to eat. If the two of you want to be really hard core though, y’all should try the Non-Fried Stinky Tofu.
