I took the Elmcreek starter farm and completely tore it down the built it back up from scratch.

Thank you! Honestly this was the 1st video where I actually started to feel comfortable with the landscaping tools. But it took lots & lots of practice trials and error. Several farm builds deleted & rebuilt.

I really like what you did to the Elmcreek home farm . Have you ever thought about designing a home farm for FS game ? You do a great job with that .

Your channel popped up. Had a look. Very nicely done my friend. I should’ve turned off my game save feature. I made such a mess of my attempt I ended up deleting my game save. Sure does take some practice. I didn’t realize how much putting a drive shed down distorts the ground if it’s not level. Trying another map now hobos hollow.

Thank you, I'm glad you gave me a chance & I hope I earned your subscriptions! A few tips, I always leave my auto save on...but I make sure I manually save before setting down big pieces or something I'm unsure of...and immediately quit game and start from the save if I'm not happy. The slope tool for me is a game changer and has really helped my builds and leads to a lot less restarting because now I feel like I can fix mistakes or fix buildings distorting the ground now to something that looks more realistic. Ultimately practice is how you learn & if you happen to watch Klutch's channel he says often...no farm IRL is perfect so your in game farm doesn't have to be either...just adds character! I'm looking forward to the Nebraska map that's coming out soon!

HAHAHA, Oh that old place, that's my grandparents house, they haven't been around for quite sometime and I don't have the heart to take it down.

Practice, and I tell myself that no farm IRL is perfect, so don't worry if your in game farm isn't perfect either.

for that ramp for that big shed you need to rise land in front of it and then level it complitly

Thanks! Yeah I believe that what I ended up doing, but for some reason I had to reset the building screen to get it to work.

This is a nice build. I have built massive farms on 4 different areas on Elmcreek and never chose the starter farm. I like what they had built there with the little bridges and creeks and could never bring myself to change it and still be happy with the results. How do you capture the entire session on video? I'd love to show off my builds to the world of FS22 as I am really proud of them but none of my friends play the game. It'd be cool to show them off to an appreciative audience.

That's great! Can't wait to see your stuff & I'm sure others would too! Easiest & best way is to download OBS Studio, find a few tutorials on KZfaq how to set it up. Then you will also need an editing software like Premier Pro or DiVinci Resolve.

Thank you! This video was made using a AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-core 4.00 Ghz with 32GB Ram & a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, I have since upgraded to a MSI Sword 15.6 144Hz Intel Core i7 1TB SSD 16GB mem with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

I opened up another save as im also trying to get better with tools & shaping the landscape & make a more realistic looking dairy farm. The way the land is those 3 fields. I ended up flattening all that land & it looks like im in a bowl almost but if id learn how to build one. I feel shouldn't have had to do that to the land.

Yeah, sometime the basic landscape tools can be a bit harsh, but I have been using the slope tool more often and it's helped me get a better starting point for my builds then use the screw ups and minor imperfections to my favor. No farm in real life is perfect, so why should your farm build be perfect.

My farm is on Elm Creek but mine is behind the store on those 3 fields. Mine is a dairy farm. Pigs, chickens & lots of cows.

Im still waiting for someone to make one of those more modern cow sheds or whatever there calling them now. There long, their house all the cows & milking machines. Kind like Saskatchewan kid farm has if anyone seen his vids before will know what im talking about.

Yeah, I do like the modern stuff, but my go to is always the older looking stuff, that's what I grew up with & around so it has a special place in my head.

What's the name of the large shed you put in at the end of the lot?

It's a Lizard branded barn "60"x120 Machine Shed Reversed" I think it's in a shed pack. One of my 1st mods. Its on the in-game mod hub.

I wasn't good with landscaping in FS19, but it's definitely easier in FS22. Also I have been practicing with other builds and I have been using suggestions from subscribers that have also helped me with landscaping. Keep it up!
