Selena was the first person to sell out the Houston Astrodome (65,000 people) and that is remarkable considering the acts that came before her-like Elvis, the Rolling Stones and so many more. I became a fan 4 years before her untimely end. In the video, when she is in purple, she is in the Astrodome. I couldn't get tickets because of how quickly they sold out, so I volunteered to work security at a much lower rate than my usual pay so I could see the show. Great audience, great show.

Selena was an amazing person even if she sang in Spanish she would make you move and dance she was queen of Latino music when she died so did the Latino music there wasn’t any more bands playing but you need to check out all her videos hear her sing techno cumbia and missing my baby

Selena was extremely creative also like the cow outfits they had on. She made those outfits and had a whole bunch of clothing ideas also she never took vocal lessons so her vocals are all natural❤️❤️

I started listening to her music back 1988 she had su her a sweet accent do to her first Language was English not Spanish. But she was spectacular. Plus she design her clothing.

When I was in my late teens I worked as a cook in a restaurant, The Lamplighter, with a bar & a small stage. That would have been 1978. Selena was about 7 at the time. Her father Abraham had a little band and they played The Lamplighter for a couple of weeks. There was another female singer in that band, but Selena would come up on stage & sing a song or two & she was amazing even back then. She didn't dance much, but her voice was beautiful & it was obvious she had a gift. So sad to have her taken away from us. You remind me of her, sweet, confident, & with a bright 🌞 future

Finally I see Selena! And it’s all thanks to you, Elok. Of course I’ve heard of her and I know her story but I never took the time to actually watch her. I enjoyed that more than I expected. I was only 13 years old when Selena’s death struck me deeply. I had just came home from school when I heard the terrible news. Selena’s untimely death was saddening and even at such a young age I knew it had a huge impact on me. I loved this reaction video, Indonesian’s know what is great music.

I like your reaction channel because of all the extra info you give-Ive heard most all the tunes a million times but some of the info you share I did not know-I did not know some dumb SOB shot this girl-(I guess Im out of the loop)-it makes me wonder why so many great talents leave this world so soon?
