Chapelle is deserving of his money. He's a rich guy, but not nearly to the 'corrupted by money' level. He's very much still at "I worked hard and became really good at my craft" level of rich. He has less than 0.05% of Musk's net worth. The problem is with the lack of accountability. Chapelle didn't deserve to be praised for his earlier Netflix specials after his return as much as he was. The early signs of transphobia were there already, but he was excused for it until he was radicalized (I'm guilty of it too I was a huge fan).
