Alaska definitely has DEI going on. However, the door plug was not an Alaska airlines issue. It is poor quality control that plagues the max-9. The 700s 800s 900s NGs have been a great plane.

Boeing built the jet. It had not flown enough to be at it's 1 year major inspection (it was 3 months old) where the door area gets opened and inspected.. I work for ASA as an inspector. Comment debunked. We do have DEI and I have nothing to do with that though.

I recently had a certified electrician at my house to repair storm-related damage. The guy was only 32 years old, had taken over the family business after apprenticing alongside his father (certified electrician also) and working his way up in the company. He was very skilled, personable, and professional. And, with the cockpit door blown open and the checklists blown out of the cockpit, the pilot and first officer took the appropriate checklist items from memory (as they were trained to do...) and landed the plane. The female pilot of the Southwest 737 that blew an engine did the same. Two weeks ago, a JAL A350 landed on top of a another plane, turning both of them into fireballs. The (female...) cabin crew got all 397 people on board evacuated out of the flaming wreck as they had been trained to do. So what's your point?
