I really, REALLY love the idea of an eldritch monstrosity that's genuinely upsetting to look at, but means you absolutely no harm.
@nunocampea23953 ай бұрын
using humans and ants has example: we humans kill them all the time and we dont even notice or care, and some of us like to play god and assert dominance by purpacefully killing them. But some times a human notices an ant and offers them a single piece of food to the small ant out of kindness. I belive this is how eldrich gods also work, most of them are indifferent, some are evil but sometimes a small few can be kind and benevolant.

Fun fact: Elmo actually does have abandonment issues in the show because his dad is away for work a lot, but his mom helps explain why his dad has to be away from home and she helps Elmo come up with coping mechanisms. I vaguely remember that episode because I was in a similar situation as a kid.

Eventually, he could no longer feel their footsteps, and he knew he was alone once more. The boy woke up. Mauling inside in his thoughts as sweat trinkled down his face. It had been years. No, decades since that incident. Elmo's bulging eyes still clear in the boy's head. So, he went back. The younger was on his own road. Having no reminiscences of their comrad. The door creaked. The once lively house, had been settled and won over by age. The floors creaked as he moved. He ran past the fireplace. As if he was once again, a child. But then... again, he sank into the floor. Reality distorted as he once again, was reminded of his past. But this time, not fear, but happiness over took him. Ever since that incident, the boy was never the same. He was empty. Something was missing.... As he walked, he heard that everlastingtune once again, but this time, in a rhapsody fashion. **"La la la, la la la~"** the voice whispered at a distance. The man was overjoyed. Ever since that day, he thought of what he would say, what would he ask his new friend? He had the answer. He ran and ran, through the motionless halls and then stopped. The large, brightly red coloured Elmo, lively and serpentine in all his glory, had been reduced to a husk... **"Welcome... To Elmo's World..."**, he groaned, as if all those years of loneliness had finally caught all to him and had pierced him as if in the form of a javelin. The boy sniffled as he walked. He touched foreheads with the beast. This sign of rejuvenation sparked something in Elmo. **"Are.. you Elmo's friend...?"** he asked with great exhaustion. "Yes... I will always be... Elmo's friend..." the man spoke. Elmo grinned, as if his one true goal... Was fianlly over. Then, his large body rested, as if his retribution was finally over...

Next one is: Elongated Elmo, the Reunion Where the two brothers come back to his domain, this time to have him meet and play with their own children
@Devoid04963 ай бұрын
This makes sense. I thought this story would continue with something messed up, but it is pretty wholesome. Domain Lord Elmo is indeed an elder god of his own realm, but he wasn't born into it. He was forced into that title. He feels the hurt of loosing everything with no control over it, and it stuck with him Im sure he eventually got over it, had fun drawiy and singing... But then those two boys came. He was overjoyed to have some new friends, and welcomed them into his domain! But the two boy, especially the younger one, where uncertain, and even a bit scared. Elmo was hit with a wave of The Hurt, knowing that this could be a cycle of pain... He's not going to let his new friends feel The Hurt. So he allows them to escape, to leave this world, and though he wishes to leave, to be free... He can't. This is his domain, the one place that can fit his ever expanding length of body. Will he see them again? Im not sure, but as another post narrates. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the boys came back to play with Elmo. In Emlo's World

I was expecting edge lord “I’m edgy because I made something from my childhood scary and child eating, hahaha the kids die a horrible death!” But I’m actually really glad and pleasantly surprised that you didn’t do that. I think that this is really truly edgy, melancholic kindness from a frankly horrifying Eldridge being (a monster if you will) is honestly a really edgy thing in my opinion, simply because you wouldn’t think in a million years such a being would be capable of such feelings as empathy for “smaller” beings. It shows a truth about life.
