Eloy is in a completely different level, Joey was great, Jay is also really good, but Eloy is a once in a lifetime drummer. Whoever say otherwise, is because its blinded by nostalgia or lack of drumming knowledge. This guy is the holy grail of his generation.

I don't often get goosebumps from drum solos. I got multiple ones from this solo. I've seen Eloy play metal stuff primarily, but my goodness is he diverse and groovy. Pure talent, feel, and ability.

Quem criou metal com samba foi o Igor Cavalera (fora Nação Zumbi). Chaos A.D. já tem bateria de samba em várias faixas; Eloy segue esse estilo. Eloy é talentoso demais e talvez seja mais técnico que o Igor; porém não criou essa tendência. E... Não tem nada de metal nessa performance. Ele só tocou samba, bossa nova e maracatu com pontes e viradas jazzadas. E fez bem porque samba, bossa nova, maracatu, forró e música brasileira em geral é dahora.

Almost started to cry. I've been playing 6 years longer than Eloy has been alive and I will never come close! Whats happening lol ??! I've been watch this kid since 05 and he NEVER ceases to amaze me. First youngin I idolize and want to meet badly. He's got a long beautiful career ahead of him, and take notice, hard work reaps rewards! God bless Eloy!

He nerver uses it, in live concertes he set the double kick but he only uses one. He admited it in one interview. The reason is because Sepultura fans would not accept that, its complete bullshit hahaha

If he is the best drummer in the world I don't know. Maybe he is. But I'm sure he is the most eclectic one. Although being a Heavy Metal Rock player, he manages to bring the Brazilian musicality to his music and do in its own special way. The guy is a genius.

Been into drumming and actually drumming myself for 2 decades. I've never seen anyone hit as hard as Eloy, not even Moon or Bonham. Eloy is an absolute beast.

From 4:30 He is playing a lot of Rythms knwon in Brazil's Northeast. He's playig Maracatu, Manguebeat and Coco (It means coconut litreally because it is a rythm where dancers use clogs whose stomp sounds are simillar to breaking coconut.)

Incredible! I never saw any HATER of ELOY! And THATS SO GOOD. Mostly of the Haters are guitarists, looks like drummers are so united and they enjoy and they feel happy for the other drummers. And... about Eloy playing... What can I say that I haven´t said before? He is complete and creative. He plays jazz too, and it feels like JAZZ. It´s not that Jazz-ish thing like a metal our some other genre drummer trying to play it. He has a lot of control of his dynamics and speed on his fist. Incredible Fist control and I met him during a Sepultura Tour. A humble and pretty much Shy "kid". He´s making history. Let the drummer speaks for him and congratulations to all the drummers. The world kind of need that harmony and celebration that you all drummers have.

Sepultura já é grande. Mas vejo o Eloy sendo convidado pra uma banda realmente grande nos próximos 10 anos. Se ele entra num Slipknot da vida, ele estoura! Não tem como ter mais talento e trabalho duro do que isso. Ele só vai precisar ser mais ousado nas decisões da vida!
