Eluveitie is my fav new band. I'm an old guy and dont like too many newer bands ( stuck in the 70s) but this music blows my mind. Celtic and metal = WOW! I bought all your CDs via NB Records online. Yes, I like CDs still.

True rock and as well as true metalheads mostly always still buy cds. I'm in the thousands and still buying. We like the bragging rights with ownership of albums that are out of print, albums from other countries that are nearly impossible to obtain, and the artwork!!

Sometimes I go on Amazon looking for an album and they have the MP3 version priced at 9.99 but you can get the CD WITH the MP3 version for 8.99. Like... what am I going to do? By the more expensive version?! Also buying CDs at concerts helps out the band a lot too.

@@TheNaraku32 Relax, it's one song that has a poppy melody on the album, i doubt the rest will be anything like this, Ategnatos and Rebirth are more harsh songs and i guess the others will be as well, this is a song to show off Fabienne and let her shine just like Call of The Mountains and A Rose For Epona were for Anna on previous albums, this is nothing new and it's typically one more clean or poppy song on an album, i will give you that this is the poppiest one they've done yet and that might turn some people off, but i personally really dig this song for what it is, Fabienne has such a great voice and it was a really good decision for Chrigel to choose her as the new female singer for the band imo.

@Sam Giguere Mahelona Anna is definitely something on her own as well. And though Fabienne will never sing Anna's songs like her, she brings something different to them. Not worse nor better, just different. But in these new songs made for her voice you can witness the marvelous singer she is. I saw her live and she blew my ears, shut my mouth as I said she would never fit or thrive in Eluveitie but oh dear, how wrong I was.

@@theochaos No, symbolism is just generic pagan/celtic/druidic stuff, which is also what ES (and Skyrim in particular, less so Morrowind etc) is based on, hence why the symbolism looks so similar here...

"Ambiramus" means "Voyage" "Cicinxiet mon textā" means "My voyage will continue" "Ad magos meldíās ! Ambiteixtū ad tīros íovincon" means "To Magox Meldias! I've set out towards Tiros Iovincon!" in Gaulish acording to azlyrics. Magox Meldias (Mag Mell, Plain Of Delight) and Tīros Iovincon (Tír Na Nóg, Land Of Youth) are names of the otherworld in Celtic Myth. You are welcome.

It would blow all the other crap completely out of the water, it would not even be fair, Eluveitite are far too talented to ever waste their talent on Eurovision though, but i agree that it does have kind of an Eurovision sound in a bizarre way, i still really like it though and think it's a great addition to the album.

@@kjonnen It's quite popy, but not bad at all. However, they'd fall out quickly, because mainstream conformist people are deathly afraid of heavier and darker music. Oh I met those.... Some people even consider rock as too much. They'd probably cut veins if they hear "Rebirth". Pathetic.

I'm not familiar enough with some of the traditional music Eluveitie pulls from. I know Dalriada couldn't compete in Eurovision because they used their take on a traditional song, but I feel like Eluveitie would often have similar issues? Not sure on this one in particular.

Never before have I expected more from an album than from Ategnatos. Therefore I supposed than I may be dissapointed even if the album is very good. But after the third single I hear that Eluveitie done something exacly what I wanted - a true masterpiece.

So THIS is how you try a take in a different direction and still gets it right! Awesome blending of our traditional Eluveitie and an upbeat tempo, melody, and key changes. This is not pop, although it is definitely more catchy. Very nice work, can't wait for the album.

I saw five shows of them supporting powerwolf and none of them were near what I would describe as bearable (and I've seen wasted punk bands trying to perform with shitty gear that sounded better than any whole live play I ever heard from amaranthe)

Lvgvs is still clearly my favorite from them(I mean, when I first heard it I replayed it about 30 times), but this is DAMN AWESOME! Fabienne's voice is a 200% fit in their style. Oh...and the flute at the beginning is just sublime.

I don't see the need for tribalism, over the lineup changes. Anna Murphy and the others went on into Cellar Darling, who are fantastic, for those who need their Anna Murphy fix, and Eluveitie has been wonderfully rejuvenated. Really, why not both?

I feel like Anna is a bit more interesting as a singer (and I don't see Fab doing any heavier vocals) so I'll continue to miss her in Eluveitie, but I definitely think the new singer is, idk, stronger at what she does? Anna's voice is a good fit for what they're doing with their second album in Cellar Darling though (even if I'm so far leaning toward preferring the first).

Everyone is entitled to their preference, of course. All I was suggesting was averting the usual ill-feeling that crops up among fans when things like this happen. All it does is lessen us, and hurt the bands we should be supporting.
