Mam dużo podziwu, dla Elvisa jak sobie radził tyle lat w tej dżungli showbiznesu, gdzie artysci podawali sobie ręce, uśmiechali się, a za plecami lepiej nie mówić, został sam na swiecie, bez rodziny( ojciec bał się tylko biedy, chcial tylko pieniedzy), bez prawdziwych przyjaciół, otoczony, zazdroscia, zawiscia, judaszami, sprzedawczykami , bez bliskiej, przyjaznej osoby, taka karierę zrobić, taka milosc ludzi na całym świecie zyskać, to jest nie do wyobrażenia nie do ogarnięcia!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤ Na zawsze tylko Elvis !!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

What a fantastic set list probably the best for 1974 , also the peacock jumpsuit Bill Belou designed is out of this world. I will always love ELVIS no matter what

Yeah I agree, the rehearsals to this season had more different songs which I wish was included in the shows to mix it up

Critics didn’t appreciate opening night. Wanted the standard, and he must have cared what people wrote… enough to neglect his wants. Having gained some life wisdom myself at 39, dude suffered with mental health issues. I can only imagine the same songs 3 times a night for 6 years had to accelerate that factor in his early passing and erratic last years. Elvis has been a ‘guilty pleasure’ and in live concerts ‘73 and beyond one can hear a definite shift when songs beyond the norm were performed. I wonder how things may have been different for the Human, Elvis, had he treated shows more like this one. Great concert.

@ryanthompson4438 I bet if he did this show on the road instead of Vegas it would have been a success. Fans and reviewers from local papers would have loved hearing different songs. Most reviewers and even fans as much as they loved Elvis were equally bored hearing the same set lists

This is quite a unique show..He experimented with changing his set-list, but for opening night there was always lots of journalists in attendance and some reviewed negatively ,,so the sensitive soul he was, the next night he reverted to the more usual set opening : CC Rider , I got a woman/Amen, Love Me etc etc. ... He never again changed it around so much.

Really a shame he didn't change it up more and add different songs to the set list. He needed to do what HE felt was right not always listen to anyone else. Sensitive soul is right

Wow! August 19, 1974 is my favorite concert. Such a unique one compared to the others! I wish the crowd had a better response, so he would keep doing these songs.

This is a lackluster performance compared to others, I get the impression that he wasn't feeling very confident over trying out something new, which is probably why he never performed this set again. That being said, I think that if he had maybe mixed up to set list and given it a few more tries, it would have gotten better and Elvis would have given a more confident performance. I wish he had had more confidence in his abilities, he could have gotten away from Parker and had better collaborations...still, he's the greatest.

I read that as it was the opening night there were a lot of press there who gave him a bum review and he reverted back to CC rider etc the very next night
