2021. Elvis career of more than 20 years. He had one concert when he was sick and bloated and few stupid and jealous people always talk about his last concert. How about the fabulous and wonderful ones. God bless you Elvis. We love you forever ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Elvis had bone cancer i his legs and 4 other major medical conditions. He had the same liver disease his mother had. His colon was enlarged, twisted, and spastic. He did not want to wear a bag so he did not have colon surgery.Since several of his conditions were not curable, he knew he would die young. He suffered much and even while on stage. He never wanted fans to know. His suffering is over.He is with Jesus now.

Yes it was that last concert that he was very bloated and you could tell he was very sick and not feeling well. But he gave it all he could. People always want to focus on that instead of remembering all those years he gave us. This man was a musical angel. And a great piece of eye candy too

I believe longtime Elvis fans, who have been there through the ups and downs, love him no matter how good or not his performances are. I’ll defend and love him until my last dying breath. People shouldn’t judge him unless they’ve walked a mile in his shoes. Rest In Peace Elvis.

Considering this is only 6months before the CBS Special, Elvis looks so much better here. Its hard to believe how much his health deteriorated in those 6 months. He really looks like he's enjoying himself up there. They'll never be another like him. 👑

Yes, in this consert he seems pretty healthy and seems to be in average shape for 41 year old man. Still top in his game at that point. But maan 6 months after this he was not even the same person anymore, not the same funny and very full of energy personality and he didnt even look like Elvis anymore

@@conditionallyunconditional5691I know there's reports of Elvis was about 350 at the end,but I don't buy that at all. He looked about ,at a reasonable guess around 260-280 absolute max. It's said his colon weighed around 35lbs and twice its normal size, which in its self is unreal. He must of been in so much pain.

@Margaret White--it’s said by ones close to Elvis that they WRAPPED him in Saran Wrap to hold his stomach in. Did you notice his stomach enlarged? Age was also a factor, plus the food 🥘 he ate plus drugs. Elvis was 41yo. when you saw him perform.

I was there that night. Went with a former student that has cerebral palsy. We were both mesmerized by this wonderful performance. I lived in Pittsburgh for eight years and left in 1977 June to move to Hawaii. This was my brightest memory of the city, a magical time. The crowd stood and screamed when he entered the arena. I was screaming, remembering my teenage years as a fan, and at the age of 35 here I was again with others the same age as the years rolled back. Thanks to a writer's reminiscences in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette on The Next Page dated December 25, 2016, I watch the concert again at the age of 75. My husband is 81, the age Elvis would be had he lived---and another Elvis fan enjoying this video. Thanks to the individual who recorded this for those of us who remember, and those who wish they might have been there. I live now in Hawaii, where Elvis gave one of his most famous performances, even as I was there for this one. God bless everyone this New Year's Eve 2016 with the memories of Elvis.

The best thing that happened to me was when I bumped into him after a show in Vegas at the International Hotel after I walked to throw 2 bottles of champagne that we drank celebrate my friends wedding. I was 16 and they wouldn't allow me in the Casino. So, as I was walking back to the Van, a door opened an out came ELVIS with a towel around his neck. We both said excuse me, and I saw his beautiful sky blue eyes. I just stood there watched him get into a blue Mercedes Benz stretched limo, with a bunch of guys. Which now I know where the Memphis mafia. I've lived him ever since. I did get to see him in Anaheim stadium in 76, cuz we tried to get tickets after I saw him, and he was sold out till 1974. I will ALWAYS CARRY ELVIS IN MY MIND AND HEART ❤ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘 ❤ 💙

Elvis was 41yo and the toll of abuse of “mega drugs” plus performing beyond ones physical being-caused his demise. He kept trying to ~~FIND the LORD GOD~~who he knew could only give him👉peace of mind, but the song 🎵 he sang sums it all up~~”””I’m in a trap-I can’t get out””” explains his state of mind. Had Elvis taken 1 year off..to get help-he probably would have changed future performances. Traveling with Christian quartets as he told people close to him. Remember how he told Nancy Sinatra-“”I should have stayed in church ⛪️ “” he meant singing gospel songs without a doubt. I understand that his Golden records etc etc ~~were due to his Gospel Songs/Records~~Now that tells us the real desires of Elvis. He told us all! I’m sure he would have filled arenas in -every USA 🇺🇸State. Many Gospel Artists were filling arenas in late 1970’s…into 1980’s. I was at several and they were awesome…spiritually fulfilling that is. Elvis would have had to make changes on how he performed….taming down all the Gyrations, but that would have been easy as he was 40+yo. Elvis would have drawn 1,000’s, but focus would have been on the LORD ✝️ JESUS…and no longer ELVIS PRESLEY. 👉ONCE a person has had a true salvation-centered on the Lord Jesus~~that person is strengthened spiritually giving GLORY ONLY TO GOD. 🙌 Elvis would have found this easy to do once freed from the demons of drugs-we would have known the REAL MAN-ELVIS🌟

I was 15 years old at that time and had a ticket along with other family members to see Elvis. Because my baseball coach lied to me about having to be present at a game in order to qualify for the allstar team so I gave my ticket away to my brother's friend but when I got to the game I found out that I already made the allstar team and that my coach was just kidding. I was so angry at my coach that I quit the team . My biggest regret of my life to this day is missing Elvis for a baseball game. And in 62 now.

Elvis never lost it. He always had it until the end. I think the spiral down began when he was getting the first drafts from the book "Elvis What Happened". I don't think he thought he could recover from that. The drug use and the sense of giving up was put on the fast train when his so-called friends wrote that book. He thought it was over. He just didn't realize how much we loved him and would stand by him no matter what anyone said.

Eng TV Stn pre emptied all prog and showed all fabulous concerts 68 all to his last concert and kept airing Elvis concerts till 1982. No VCR to record down became Elvis fan instantly. Wrote letter to HK TVB station in 1983 with help from uncle with many fake signatures they replied regret to say no rights to re run concerts but instead showed his sorry to say silly movies. I always listen daily see his videos in my collection as no other singers makes the same effects as former living GOD of music in this world. Elvis is my 2nd GOD. I agree with u! I think in Jan 77 he had wrote he’s just tired of it all. I’d be too, it’s too much for so many years! Imagine the possibilities he would of had if he has rested longer, other opportunities would of been available to him. It just really makes you sad. He didn’t have to slim down too too much …but looks like the meds were swelling him up in his face and tummy, and maybe the pills were affecting his appetite ….but more than anything he needed to rest his eyes and his body, just rest. His eyes were so bad…u can see how he alwys grabs his head and eyes …the pain he’s going thru yet he’s working so hard through it…all for his fans. It’s heartbreaking . Migraines glaucoma etc geez. Thank You for sharing Gene Meo!! I am happy for you that you had the amazing opportunity to see the King live - what a fabulous memory from this Pittsburgh New Years' Eve Concert it must have been....you should share more about this event, if you'll like? ;-) At this time, in late '76 I had been listening to Elvis for almost 2 years. I remember when I heard him the first time, in 1975, at a birthday party for my classmate Madeleine. I went up to the record player and looked at the album, a double record with Elvis.....I remember thinking; (only 8 years old at the time) 'Man, this is good, I gotta get some albums of him for sure!!' - And, so I did.....plenty of them!! ;-) I still love listening to Elvis at any given moment and for any reason whatsoever! :-)

Closest ones to Elvis-even his Dad could not get Elvis to stop taking Drugs. Elvis was 💯% addicted~~SO VERY SAD 😔 Remember how Elvis response to his close bodyguard--“”””I NEED THESE PILLS 💊 “””” Justified Addiction is when a person believes their own lies😢 There were-NO Betty Ford Centers back then, however I just found this➡️ Dr Rusk “”the father of comprehensive rehabilitation” founded in 1951 New York. There was HELP, but Elvis controlled his own behavioral habits. No one could stop him….he had to help himself. A decision to face reality and make choices for ones self-has to be the WILL of the person❗️ 👉REHABILITATION==defined as bringing back to a positive condition.

Regarded as the best Elvis concert of ‘76 and probably of the last 3 years. He’s in terrific spirits, form and attitude. It’s amazing how in tuned his band is as well. When, during “Fairytale”, he tells the band to “slow it down, slow it down” and without missing a beat they slow the the rhythm down and keep right on going. That’s a band that’s in tune with their lead singer!

In 1969 Elvis would go down to the gate at his LA home & talk to his fans as a way to start getting ready to go back on stage that July. He made quite a few life long friends that way. He would invite them into his home & show them his new stage costumes & stay up all night talking. Once he noticed an older couple had stopped showing up at the gate every day & he asked about them but nobody knew what had become of them. Elvis , on his own , found out their last names & also found where they lived (in a house trailer/mobile home thing). He went to their place & knocked on the door & hung out with the lady ,whose husband had been hospitalized (that's why they weren't at the gate any more). Elvis paid the bills for them until they got on their feet again. I can't imagine any other celebrity doing that.

You are precisely right. The 'friends' book came out in paperback on 1st August 1977 and was available everywhere. Elvis had already seen the drafts months earlier and knew the contents of the book, and was so despondent over it. Elvis died on the eve of the start of a new tour. That tour would have brought him into contact with his audiences for the first time since the book's release. As you say, if only he'd known how much his fans loved him no matter what. And will continue to.

Elvis was very disappointed about the lack of loyalty of Red, Sonny and Dave after everything he had done for them: donated houses and cars, paid their livelihood, their medical bills, holidays, travelling, hotels, food and the schools of their children. Red West already parasited on Elvis when he was in Germany and did so until 1976. At the time of their discharge in 1976 they hadn't been working for Elvis during a year. Probably because Elvis was sued because Sonny, Red and Dave assaulted Elvis' fans. Vernon said they were fired to economize which might have been an additional reason. Publishing a tell-all book about Elvis brought them money but was very treacherous. Thanks to sugardaddy Elvis they lived a very luxurious exciting and carefree life during 10-20 years with access to many beautiful women and paid filmparts organised by Elvis Presley, who worked very hard while his parasitic entourage just hung around doing nothing. Red, Sonny and Dave apparently thought that sugardaddy Elvis was somehow obliged to provide for them and entertain them. They thought they had the right to parasite on Elvis because he had allowed them to do so before. Like spoiled grown children who expect their parents to keep caring for them. They felt entitled to Elvis' lifelong financial support and when Elvis didn't deliver anymore they took revenge by demeaning him publicly to damage him personally and ruin his career!

his last legendary concert, imo. This was spectacular. After this it went downhill for REAL, after a 3 year decline (late '73 he gained a lot of weight and since then he was uneven in his performances), Of course if you compare his worst performances (like 19th june '77 or 27th sept '74) to other artists best performances Elvis is bound to "win". Anyway, thanks for upload - unusually good quality!
