I moved here to Memphis from New Jersey 3 years ago to become a police officer and you have done more then what I have😄 awesome vids! Iv met retired police officers that would tell me all kinds of cool stories. Elvis was always polite and respectful no matter what he had going on in his personal life. RIP

My mom and dad knew a couple from Tupelo Mississippi. They knew Gladys and Vernon. Story has it, when Elvis was born, a bluish light was seen surrounding the home for several nights after. Don't know if that is indeed true but, I do know that the couple my parents knew, went to our church. Our church was an offshoot of Elvis' church. Hmmm!

I love that fans can visit Elvis' childhood home! Very cool that the apartment is furnished in the style of the 50's and that bedroom with all the lipstick prints is WILD. The guitar on the bed is a really nice touch. Thanks for sharing this unique and special place with us, Jordan!!!

Amazing vlog, we did a tour of Memphis with a guy called Mike Freeman ( he actually used to own Elvis’ house in Audubon Drive) and he showed us round this apartment, after visiting from the UK in 2017 for the 3rd time ( 1 st was 1995 and then again in 1997) I had only ever seen the outside. To me getting the chance to be inside this apartment was more breathtaking than Graceland on that trip. I believe his grandmother stayed with them too so the bedroom made up to be Elvis’ might have been hers, with Elvis sleeping in the living room, but I could be wrong as it’s not been spoken of, but she did live with them after her husband left her

Like some others here, I had no idea about their apt. It looks very inviting. I wonder if sometimes in later years Elvis drove by and thought of happier times. Very nice of them to let you film. I hope you get to stay there some day.

Jordan you uncover then best history. Who would have known that you could stay in Elvis's family apartment when he was younger. That is absolutely amazing. Most of us only know him as an young adult on up until when he passed. Now I would like to know more about him as a young boy growing up. Thanks Jordan I really enjoyed this vlog.

Jordan! I had to laugh out loud when you were showing the parents' bedroom and zoomed in on that photo of Elvis, and said it was perfect! Trust me, it was NOT PERFECT until I took that darned frame apart and retaped the copied chintzy photo so that it was straight. It was driving me crazy the whole weekend and the pictures above the dresser were all curled up and falling off the wall, so I retaped THEM too! Thank goodness we came prepared.....lol

Hey Jordan I actually have a really cool Elvis story and yes it’s true I promise my great grandmother worked in the cafeteria when Elvis was in the army and he manage the cafeteria sometimes he would eat in her office to get some privacy because he was popular at this point And she had several autograph of his but she gave him awake she never thought he would pass away at a young age she was devastated when she did but yeah my Great grandmother let Elvis eat in her office and she knew him when he was in the army

I heard the other day that Elvis' grandmother lived there too . I believe she had a bed in the same bedroom with Vernon and Gladys . I'm sure it was set up a little different than what they show . I know it's not the original furniture , but I was trying to picture what that would have looked like . You are right Jordan , I could just picture Elvis playing and hanging out with his friends all around that apartment complex . Very cool !! Thanks Jordan for sharing this with us !!

Still new things to learn about Elvis. Never knew that was where he spent his childhood. It also proves that he was entertaining and had a love for the military even as a kid. visited this lovely little home many times with one of Elvis's childhood friends Blanch Scott . The most recent tour i did she gave me a personal tour for me and my friends Elvis week aug 2018 . Unfortunately she passed away a few months later ( November 24, 2018) from complications with Pneumonia. I've know her since 2012 and she was a beautiful human being. I just adored that lady and all her stories that she told me over the years about her and her friendship with a very young Elvis... Another amazing Vlog thankyou Jordan.
