This was one of those songs that Elvis never did again for a very good reason. He was deeply and truly moved by the message he was telling, he never wanted a song like this to become part of the routine. In the Ghetto, just like If I can dream were magical performances, performances that Elvis vowed he would never do again because of how close they were to his heart. This song touched Elvis deeply and he never did it again because it had become sacred in his heart.
