In this episode the Spa Guy talks about the fact that the ambulance was nearly auctioned to scrappers.
This is a rare behind the scenes interview series with Elvis Presley historian and KZfaqr Billy Stallings, who goes by "The Spa Guy." Missing for decades, Billy was able to find and acquire the ambulance that carried Elvis Presley from Graceland to Baptist hospital the day he died. Before placing the ambulance in a museum, The Spa Guy cleaned it up. While cleaning it, he agreed to be interviewed. Normally Stallings is telling stories and asking questions from behind the camera. But for these episodes, he is the person of interest.

Without touching anything else, it would great to get the emergency lights and siren working. Hopefully, that's included in your future plans.

In one of Spa Guy’s videos I was very close about this vehicle’s debut to Station 29 I put an estimated year either ‘76 or ‘77 but now I know it debuted in ‘75, but if this vehicle was crushed at a junkyard it wouldn’t be able to tell it’s story from August 16th 1977

Molt bon treball, gracies per recuperar la ambulancia i per fer,? q avui dia es pugui veure en un museu. No m' ho podia creure q estigues abandonada en un bosc. Els que som fans d'Elvis això ens causava dolor. Gracies per la feina.

Back in the day GMC in Chevy was build in the same garage and it was very common for a truck to be built with one side of the truck saying Chevy and the other side saying GMC it happened all the way up to the 90s

Great to see it cleaned up and preserved. I watch a lot of Spa Guy's videos and appreciate the amount of detective work he puts into authenticating these stories. I'm just wondering... how was he able to verify that THIS is the Elvis ambulance?. Unless I missed it somewhere, I didn't see any serial numbers on the vehicle that could be used to compare it with old footage. Was he able to track it down using the VIN number perhaps?. Just curious.

That dent in the RH door will pop out if you take off the inside door panel, raise up the window and push the panel out from inside the window crank access area. I've done it 100 times.... Simply take off the window regulator handle " U " clip by sliding a trim tool (looks kinda like this🔧) in-between the door panel and window regulator handle. Be careful not to lose the clip as it will fly when you dislodge it from the splined stud. Remove the crank handle Next take out ALL the Philips head screws ( 4 on the bottom, 1 behind the door handle area (recessed cup), and 2 on the top of the vinyl foam arm rest) Next carefully pull the interior plastic panel up and out away from around the inside door handle, making sure the handle is also being pulled outward (to you) in order to clear it in the process. After the panel is off, locate the middle of the dent and push it out with the palm of your hand starting from the body line at the bottom of the orange stripe and work it out as you go along. A "paintless dent repair" specialist could be called in if you're unsure about it. Also, use some pb blaster or transmission fluid on each of the door hinges and especially on each of the hood hinge rivets as the hood structure will most likely buckle at the crash folds underneath if you attempt to close it without oiling first!! Looks like it has the typical GM truck "hood buckle" already going on..... Cool find!

The reason it has both Chevy and gmc logos is because gmc owns Chevy and it was to expand both brands
