@Seamus Lannon ...i was being sarcastic. I know Sinatra mad it a hit. I was born in '56 and my mother played Sinatra, Dean (Martin) basically the Rat Pack. Big Band Singers Dorsey etc. the very large RCA console stereo. But hell fire, when Tom Jones came to America and had his own TV show, their was no talking in the house. Try keeping 4 kids quiet..haha You should cheek out Sal on America's Got Talent. He got a kiss form Heidi Klum and the gold.

@@mstewart109 ...you are correct about Tom Jones. My moms from England. My dad was stationed in England. They married and had four of us dual citizenship that England recognized, and the U.S. didn't. I call it England because it aggravates the British. That want to be Great Britain again. Sorry went way off point. One day Tom Jones tv show was getting ready to start. I said mom your Tommy's about to start. She said she was too busy...all of us just starred at each other, with that stepford wife look. 3 sisters and me. Well to get to the point, and not reliving the play by play. My mom was mad because He got his start in England and they made him an international star. Well Mr Jones was praising his home Country of Wales. He was very proud to be Welch, but he forgot to mention the people of England, who supported that young Welch kid and got him noticed to be what he became to be. My mother got over it, and was back watching him swinging those hips in the tight black pants. Tom help Elvis with some of his dance moves when Elvis started performing again, especially the Vegas shows. The End

My wife said she saw him in concert in South Bend Indiana in 1976..and it was unforgettable! People were cheering throughout the concert so loud it was hard to hear him sing.Many people stood throughout the concert cheering him on. He always ended the concert by singing " I cant help falling in love with you".As he was singing it and when he finished the crowd was calling out "ELVIS DON'T GO"!!!! over and over as he shook hands and gave out kisses....it was emotional to be in the stadium hearing the thunderous cheering and asking him to stay....

This is originally French song titled Comme d"Habitude (As usual), Paul Anka wrote English lyrics and it was performed by Frank Sinatra. For Elvis it was a confession of his life and it kind of had good-bye feeling, that's why it always makes me tear up and gives me chills, especially when he sings "and now the end is near and I must face the final curtain".. so overwhemingly sad knowing he will be gone in little more than 3 years... Karolina/Poland
@richardeidemiller6739
@richardeidemiller6739 4 жыл бұрын
The saddest thing is he owed no confession of his life to anyone. We somehow held this man to higher standards than ourselves. As fans we drained him in a way. He owed none of us anything he gave so much in so many ways, what he did in private was his business. I agree it does make me sad in retrospect.

It's the music Elvis makes that blows your mind. I have seen ALOT.......ALOT.......... of bands,singers Concerts. And the ONLY one I have ever seen, Were all and I mean all the people, Sat in their seat, Is the Elvis concert, Cause only he had the magic that engulfed the entire crowd as if hypnotized to the God given power that {as 73 years } so far, Has shown. That only he commanded that total control not only his vocals but the Heart, Minds And Souls of his adoring fans , And I thank God And Elvis,That I was one that sat in a seat in Omaha,Ne 6/30/75 8:30pm And I have a very vivid memory of that night and please believe me..... You-tube, Record, Tape or C.D Or the reaction video's does not do him justice. As in person really was the way to feel that unbelievable , Undeniable volt of charisma that give him that powerful vibration to be weak as a willow or wild as the raging sea to move the world in the way he sang from with- in him--- Projecting it out to us.....And that , Is what Elvis did FOR and TO the world!! He was like a f-5 Tornado once in his grip, You could not help but become another ADORING FAN I don't know everyone that touched the entire world ................. its been said many times before, this man had a presence where you felt him before you seen him , not to sound corny and crazy but there has to be something about elvis presley that no other human had, and you can see n feel it in videos like this, 2ND TO NONE, THE KING!

It's like I've always said, Elvis had IT in a way very very few did. No matter what he sang, it was spellbinding simply because of the voice and the electricity he brought to a room just by being in it.

" This is well worth the read Elvis fans alike "..... Seeing Elvis live was to say the least "ELECTRIFYING" ..... AND SO THERE I WAS ..... AT SEVERAL ELVIS CONCERTS ..... THE STADIUM WAS AS LOUD AS COULD BE ..... PEOPLE EVERY-WERE ..... THE ELECTRICITY JUMPED FROM ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER ALL THROUGH THE PLACE ..... FULL OF THE STATIC ELECTRICITY ..... ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER ...... THESE CHARGES BUILT UP ON EVERYONE OF US ..... MAKING OUR HAIR STAND ON END AND MAKING ALL OF US CRAZY TILL YOU JUST HAD TO FIND A WAY TO RELEASE OR DISCHARGE IT..... SCREAMING SEEMS LIKE THE WAY MOST GOT RID OF IT ..... " I KNOW THAT FOR SURE" ..... AS MY AUNT ..... MY SISTER ..... AND MY DATE MADE ME INCOHERENT FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT WEEK OR SO ..... AND THIS WAS JUST WAITING FOR THE SHOW TO START ..... THEN THE FRONT PART WITH THE BAND AND COMEDIAN CAME OUT AND SOME ENERGY WAS RELEASED FOR THE MOMENT ..... BUT THEN CHARGED RIGHT BACK UP AGAIN AS THE BAND STARTED AND THE COMEDIAN CAME AND WENT ..... IT SEEMED LIKE IT WOULD NEVER GET TO ELVIS COMING OUT AS THAT IS EXACTLY WHY WE ALL WERE THERE ..... THAT'S RIGHT ..... WE ALL WERE WAITING FOR ..... ELVIS TIME ..... THEN ..... SPACE ODYSSEY 2001 STARTED TO PLAY ..... MAN ..... WOMEN AND CHILD ..... WE ALL KNEW ..... ELVIS WAS NEXT ..... IT WAS DEAFENING ..... THEN SPACE ODYSSEY STARTED PLAYING ..... THE CHARGE WAS ELECTRIFYING .....THE CROWD WAS SO LOUD YOU COULD NOT HEAR YOURSELF SAY ..... THINK OR HELL ..... EVEN SCREAM ..... " YOUR BREAKING MY EAR DRUMS PEOPLE " ..... EVERYONE WAS COVERING THEIR OWN EARS JUST TO SAVE THEMSELF FOR GOING DEAF ..... IT WAS ALL-READY TO LATE FOR ME ..... AS I COULD NOT EVEN SAY HIS NAME WITHOUT MY AUNT ..... SISTER ..... OR ..... DATE THERE WITH ME WOULD LOOK AT ME THEN START SCREAMING ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... BUT THEN JUST BEFORE THE BLINDING LIGHTS OF THE CAMERA'S STARTED ..... THANK GOD ..... IT HAPPENED ..... THE KING HIMSELF CLIMBED UP THOSE STAIRS AND AT THAT MOMENT ..... I REALIZED THAT THE CROWD ..... AUNT ..... SISTER ..... AND ..... DATE ..... COULD SCREAM A WHOLE LOT LOUDER THEN THEY DID JUST MINUTES BEFORE ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS .....WAY LOUDER ..... THEN ..... THANK GOD ..... ELVIS WALKED UP TO THE MIC ..... And the screaming that was ear piercing and probably making my ears bleed already to say the least stop on a dime ..... It was Quiet as hell now with the crowd ..... And with my Aunt ..... Sister ..... And yes ..... My Date..... As Elvis was just about to sing ..... Throughout the concert anytime Elvis was to say anything or sing..... Or ..... Hell ..... Just moved around ..... No-one moved or made a sound ..... WHY ..... We were Mesmerized .....We wanted to hear everything and see everything he did ..... This Is the true Impact that Elvis Aron Presley had here on Planet Earth ..... You can ..... Fight it ..... Argue it ..... Cuss at it ..... Disagree with it ..... Be Jealous of it ..... You can even claim others his equal or his better if you want ..... But every time the dust settles ..... Elvis is still king ..... God said ..... That ..... That son ..... That there is something you just cannot change ..... Can't and won't be done ..... Elvis won the world over with his abilities ..... Far above mortal man ..... Able to leap high notes in a single breath ..... Or blow the roof off with some low tone tornadic whirlwind of a grinding persuasion flowing out of him with the greatest of ease .....To start a song off as if it would be soft and sweet .... Only to have it take you up to high heaven and beyond ..... Making you think ..... What the hell just happened ..... Was that earthbound what you just heard and saw ..... Or direct from up above that ..... God sent just for you ..... Yes sir ..... Whatever happens ..... YOU CANNOT OUTRUN THE POWERFUL .....SOUNDS COMING OUT OF HIM ..... NO SIR .....It's those powerful sounds coming out of him ..... That His tornadic voice creates .....Winds that can blow you into others around you ..... Into laps of perfect strangers ..... Causing turned over popcorn ..... Spilled drinks ..... Stepped on candy bars ..... Hell ..... Even screaming in your ears ..... I KNOW .... Both of them ..... All at once ..... Coming from both sides ..... Even from the front and back of you ..... Doesn't matter if it is your Aunt ..... Sister..... Or Date ..... And thousands of Pictures being taken ..... Even at hundreds of feet away ..... Maybe even thousands ..... All from the lights of the cameras that just keep on flashing ..... Thousands at a time ..... Practically Blinding you the whole time ..... But man ..... look-Out ..... As he can change direction quickly Vocally ..... And send you to La-La land in an instant ..... Hell ..... He's been known to lift up people in cars and trucks ..... Even houses and toss them into happiness ..... WITH IN ONE NOTE ..... So hold on man ..... Elvis is king ..... Borrowed talent from God himself as history has proven it 73 YEARS AND COUNTING ..... Once in a while God sends a mes-sager to his people ..... Elvis was one such mes-sager ..... Mankind can try to change it and proclaim some-one his equal or better if they want ..... BUT God already said ..... That is something that will never change ..... The man had everyone {Including Me} ..... looking up on the stage as we wanted to watch every move ..... And listen to every sound he made ..... Yes sir ..... I saw Elvis live ..... And I will tell you right now that hearing him on CD's or Records or seeing him on TV or here on you-tube ..... I can tell you right now ..... It is nothing like seeing him in person ..... Take it x1000 ..... to him In person ..... He was that Absolutely fantastic ..... A wound up tesla coil ..... With bolts of lighting feeding the crowd ...... Simply ..... He was like the Suction of a f-5 tornado ..... Once in his grip ..... You are a fan ..... PERIOD ..... And so as you are determined ..... To jump into the whirlwinds created by the king himself ..... "REALIZE YOU ARE NOW BEING OFFICIALLY SUCKED INTO THE F-5 WHIRLWIND TORNADO " ..... WE BID YOU GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY AND WELCOME ABOARD .....PLEASE ABOVE ALL .....Keep your hands ..... Arms ..... And legs inside your seat at all times ..... To avoid hitting nearby ..... Supporters ..... People ..... And other objects ..... Try to Sit properly in your seat without twisting around ..... kneeling ..... Or otherwise rearranging your body in a way that may compromise the effectiveness of the safety restraints built -in ..... Which are the arm rests ..... Seat belts ..... Or a handrail ..... Or any other form of safety device if so equipped ..... OR .....You may just end up holding on to any other life forms in your area ..... After all they too are being sucked in ..... Or hell ..... You may have to just hang on for dear life on your own ..... Above all ..... Enjoy the ride ..... As he left all his recordings just for us .....And so here is another gift from the king ..... Elvis Presley - " Life " ..... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ipqTis5-vdirmqM.html ....{{ Elvis recorded EXACTLY 769 songs }} ..... And he did them better than ..... ANYONE ELSE COULD ..... ANYONE ..... PERIOD ..... No Brag ..... Just Fact ..... BIG N ...

Paul anka wrote the song, and this is what Frank Sinatra had to say about Elvis singing the song. I shall miss him dearly as a friend. He was a warm, considerate and generous man." So Ithink we can say that in the 1950's, Frankwasn't a fan of Rock and Roll in general but thought Elvis had a natural talent. By 1977 hehad become a fan!
