Love the fact he questioned the address from the start and at the end he was right. I like the sharpness of the man’s mind and his loyalty to the truth about Elvis without crapping on him. Cool interview

***One thing I hope everyone remembers is that back then many in the entertainment industry used medications.Also, we didn't hear about prescription drug addiction back then, and we did not have a Betty Ford clinic.Elvis was hospitalized many times trying to detox- but today,we know it takes more than just getting the drugs out of the body for a person to recover.

Dr Black is a nice guy. Elvis the country boy side of him trusted in the city white collar educated people medical doctors & the meds they gave to patients that the pills must be harmless. I understand Elvis took pills even in his early concerts & later in the army & it just carried on thru his life. On tv now a days when a medication ad comes on there is 15 seconds on what it will do for you & then 45 seconds of warnings of what it may do to you. Heart troubles dizzy ness fainting diarrhea high blood pressure suicidal thoughts on & on... Wonder if the pill bottles had any warnings & maybe if warnings were more given possibly Elvis would of been more careful & taken less.

This is a great opportunity and rare to speak with a physician who offered Elvis his services during the early 1960s. What do I know of Memphis or being a "Memphian"?? I lived over 800 miles away from Elvis and his hometown. I am a dumbstruck Canuck. Canadian for those who are not aware of the euphemism, "Canuck." What I am trying to lead to is, perhaps this Dr. Black [any relation to Elvis' 1950s bassist Mr. Bill Black or his family??] is experiencing his very first interview about ANY of his former patients?? I would guess he had his thoughts about Elvis Presley when he learned of Elvis' passing?? His feelings based on his professional knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry?? His personal feelings about Elvis as another patient?? Bill, again, I love your videos and what you do to put together "another piece of the Elvis puzzle" but, I wish you would have let this gentleman speak more often during the interview. I can't speak for all your viewers but, I have been following Elvis life story since 1977. I want to learn more about what Dr. Black thought of Elvis and how Elvis interacted with people not connected to the entertainment industry. Bill, you sound very knowledgeable, but, most of us are aware of your "Elvis Presley Knowledge". Prepare questions to encourage the person you are interviewing rather than continue to interject the conversation with your point of view. Thanks for reading my long posts. I look forward to watching Part 2 of this interview.

I have been a fan of your channel for what 4 or 5 years now Spa Guy? I'm still so fascinated with Elvis! I have been doing quite a bit of research on Dr. Nick and from what I've read in his book and what I've learned on my own from people talking about him & online research I've found that Dr. Nick was a very good doctor. I've read his book and what he had to say about Elvis's health and how he treated him. Dr. Nick did think Elvis could have had COPD.... Elvis's autopsy report stated an "antitrypsin deficiency" (genotype ms) which is emphysema. Without the proper technology then Dr. Nick was very close to diagnosing it! Amazing I think! Also, Dr. Nick treated Elvis for hypertension (high blood pressure) the autopsy showed Elvis's heart was 2 times the normal size! Again Dr. Nick was so close! Had they had the technology we have today I feel Dr. Nick could have saved Elvis. I didn't see any of the other doctors Elvis saw giving this type of care. I just wanted to share this, I know this video is older, but I felt Dr Nick should have some praise for being a doctor who listened & genuinely cared for his patients both famous & not. 😊 Happy 4th of July Spa Guy to you & your family. P.s. Let's let off some fireworks for Elvis! ❤ 🇺🇸

Johnny Cash was prescribed pills too (for his touring.) It seemed to be the 'done thing' back then. Uppers and downers. Johnny got messed up on them for a while, early on in his career. He went back to them too at a later stage but June Carter helped him, along with his children who all put pen to paper and each wrote a 'letter' to their Dad to read, which told him their worries about his reliance on the pills and how they didn't want to lose him. I wish Elvis had beat the addiction like Johnny did, but sadly, we all know how Elvis reacted when any of his friends or family showed concern for his addiction. 😥

Billy I know I always bring up the conspiracy thing! I guess because I was here in NYC during 9/11, working down there for months afterwards! So you hear things...and anything is possible! I been going through every old video I can find, trying to find discrepancies in what people had said about that awful August day. Even taking notes on who said what... I recently found a video ( which I am sure you must have seen too) where Lisa Marie’s answers were just off to me. In one sentence she says “Dodger The Grandmother’? That seemed weird to me, as why use “the” instead of just saying Dodger my great grandmother! Then she says how she remembered the body (Elvis’ wake) being there for 3 days and how strangely enough, ‘it’ made her feel comfortable. Maybe I’m just taking her words out of context and stretching for something more than it is... I just found ‘it’ to be a weird use of pronouns! The three days comment, could have been an easy mistake and her not remembering correctly. But to say ‘it’ instead of him, just doesn’t sit well with me! Then Lisa stops the conversation, saying she felt uncomfortable talking about the subject. Almost similar to the Larry King interview! You and I are the same age, so we were young rookies when E passed away. Can I ask where you were that day and what were you doing when you heard the news?
@OzArkieBelle
@OzArkieBelle 6 жыл бұрын
At a concert I attended years ago Lisa referred to Elvis by his given name instead of referring to him as her dad. I found that odd. I would never referrence my dad by his given name. It was a if she was referring to a stranger. I guess, it could be due to the mind set of a Scientologist. It's my understanding that their trained to view family differently than others.
