Mr. Henry is the salt of the earth. When the country was full of these honorable men America "was great"' You have a ton of simple yet amazing people in your videos that show a slice of what we once were. Getting to see old America is like getting to see Elvis in person.

Love everything about this...Frank the Old Timer, the "vintage" Jeep, the sleepy "downtown" area...seeing America through Billy's camera, and tracking Elvis' footsteps across the U.S. This deserves a bigger audience. Great stuff!

Thank You, I will release the longer version on the Weekly Spa Guy channel soon where Frank shows his museum and the mock up airplane based on a patent for the airplane prior to the Wright Brothers.. The town was named after the airplane inventor by the way...

Blessings to Mr. Henry. What a treat for him, too; he woke up that morning not knowing he’d be interviewed and share his wisdom with all of us. All these interviews are possible because of your pleasant demeanor in approaching strangers, Spa Guy. Tighten up and keep on doing it!!

This is great! It said in one of the comments that Frank was 95, so he'd be about 9 years older than ELVIS. Hard to believe, because we don't know what an aged Elvis would look like, it's hard imagining him older. This must have happened more than once to Elvis. I lived in EP MO and I heard a story like that about Elvis performing there, but ended up the school wouldn't let him. Probably in that same era. Before my time. Wish my dad were here, he'd be 100 if he were still living. He was like Frank a very good historian. This is very interesting, and because of the fact you happened upon Frank was a bonus!

This was great Billy, thank you. Frank was quite a guy. I wonder if Elvis knew the ticket money was returned to the kids? I don’t think too many people realise how hard Elvis, Scotty, Bill and Sam worked to get things off the ground and some of the difficulties they faced.

Elvis the Pelvis is what the School Superintendent thought about Elvis and returned the kids their money. The kids must have been happy seeing an Elvis show and getting their money back. Your friend Frank is a legend. So sweet, helpful and enthusiastic to show you everything he had. Thank you Frank and Thank you my friend Spa Guy. You rock. ❤️🤗🙏🏼💕

Elvis received a lot of criticism in the beginning. This had to hurt since he was raise to respect his elders. I've heard him in interviews from back then and when told rock and roll won't last, he said it may not, it might all be over tomorrow. He definitely handled it all very well.

Any suspenders & belt kinda guy rocks,,in my book, The old gray Ghost propelled you to yet another cool undocumented piece of the Elvis puzzle. Dermott High students get a refund....& kids gave the $ back to their parents. Good old Frank. What a guy. Inspiration. Elvis show stopped because of his body movements....kids get their $ back because the show was stopped early. As Elvis said in the NYC interview ...he’s tame compared to the rock bands of the 1970s ... Punk Rock bands ...& the heavy metal....drugs ...so on... Gee I was only 2 months old when Elvis played in this town. Street named Speed Way...(Elvis movie) Elvis was the new guy on the block....& from high school to a yr later world famous . Frank 95 yrs old & driving...he’s da man. And what a nice guy. Wonder if he is an Elvis fan ? Well he may like Elvis gospel / country music. Billy the pitcher threw his best pitch as it’s a full count. Whack ..it’s going going going home run. Sorry for paying fans you did not get to keep the ball. (Ball sailed right outta the park) Yes Billy ya hit the ball outta the park. Unreal Elvis history !!!

When he played in Batesville, Arkansas, in August 1955, the Jaycees I believe wrote to someone and claimed his performance was uncouth and the colonel wrote to Bob Neal and told him Elvis needed to refund his money to the group who paid for him to play the water carnival. The Duke of Padukah was the closing act and word was he was the uncouth one. Everyone I've spoken to who attended said Elvis' did a great performance. The letter from the Col. and story is also in "Elvis Day By Day."
