This had been billed as Elvis Presley doing a Christmas special, his very first TV special. People expected it to be like other Christmas specials, replete with traditional Christmas songs, etc. But instead, it began with an extreme close-up of Elvis warning, "If you're lookin' for trouble, you came to the right place!" A one-man show that re-established him as a true performer.
