My dad met Elvis in December 1959 in Germany. He wasn’t really a fan as a rule. However having met him. I asked what he was like. He said son, he was polite, fun, humble and friendly. Mucked in with everyone. He added. Son don’t take this the wrong way. He was the most beautiful looking man I’ve ever seen. Handsome didn’t come close. He behaved in a way like he never noticed his stardom, impact or even looks. He was just one of the guys.

I thought he was the most beautiful man in the world. I still believe that to this day. It felt like every time he sang, he was singing only to me.
