You're a good man, Jamel, to look past the haters and see the soul, the passion and the love that this man had for his music. I have lived in Las Vegas a long, long, LONG time, and I am in touch with many who knew Elvis personally, and I can assure you that Elvis Presley loved ALL OF HUMANITY. One simply needs to read his reaction to the death of MLK to see and feel Presley's compassion for all mankind. THANK YOU, again, Jamel for a fair, insightful and concise review of this man's music. I for one, appreciate you, sir.

Elvis seven weeks before he died was a shadow of his former self, his divorce from prescilla deeply affected him. Also to add insult to injury Tom Parker worked him to death and was apparently stealing from Elvis to pay his massive gambling debt's, so much so that Elvis's estate was near bankruptcy towards the end. Kids need to look at Elvis's last two or three years with a degree of sympathy, he was broken and working with a manager he hated who worked him so hard he got hooked on pain killers.
