I saw that interview. Poor Anita. She must have been so hurt. But I think she was better off I the long run with Johnny Brewer. They were married for many years until his death. I do think she loved Elvis though.

@@stacyhastert1286 Yes. I say poor Anita all the time. Elvis was a cad.🤣🤣I know some people don't like that, but he was. Sometimes I have trouble wrapping my brain around this shy, not popular boy in high school who goes on to be one of the biggest womanizers around. He was two timing her just about the entire length of their relationship. I totally agree about Johnny Brewer. If you have not read her book, it's a must read. She did love him very much - she basically had to get some medical help to get over him. She loved the person, not the entertainer IMO.

I agree 100% with Baz Luhrmann's movie: Elvis died for his fans, his love for them. Jerry Schilling asked the coronel how he could let Elvis perform in such condition (his last show) - he answered that Elvis wanted to do it. It is the show he says Adios in the end (it in the movie too, but with the beautiful poem about the footless bird).
