Just imagine his own movie he directs Nadodi Manan in 1958. At that time it is not easy to produce a movie and made it a big hit. Same goes to Ulagam Sutra Valiban and Adimai Penn. Even Sivaji appreciated MGR's guts to make Adimai Penn. MGR really takes special attention to all this songs in his movie. He knows exactly what audience needs in a movie. His movie stunts is a special atttraction in his movies. There will few lyric writers in his movies whereas Sivaji's movies mostly Kannadasan and Vaali. Thats all. After 34 years later after his death - still people celebrates his death anniversary and birthday functions. This is something great for a person. When MGR was serious in 1984 - then PM Indra Gandhi made arrangement to send him to US for medical treatment. At that same time few corparate companys who has their own personal jets willing to take MGR for treatment any part of this world. Who gets this type of preveliege? If the same matter where to happen now to any political party leaders OR any top movie star - I think the casket and funeral guys will be waiting to send the person fast to the nearest grave. This is the only difference ?? One day earlier crowds gathered at Madurai Airport (sleeping at footpath overnite) to welcome MGR after his treatment/return from US. Even now if you happen tp go to Brokylain Hospital in US - you tend to get news about the great man MR M G Ramachandran.
