This was actually a track Cole Bennett’s Lyrical Lemonade but as fate would have it the track (Babytron and Big Sean) didn’t make it on the album. Em heard it, wanted to put a verse on the track for this album and history was made 😊

I was looking for it too in Em's verse, and he said that phrase "I used to dream as a kid I would grow to be one" (meaning a goat), but sonically, it sounds like o-be-wan, and it ties with the next line "I hope that I inspire hope", like in Star Wars: A New Hope.

There are literally so many bars in this song, I'm not sure where to start. The doubles, triples, Jay-Z diss, boxing scheme at the end, cadence switches...it's genius and interesting as hell. The beat is insane. Tron and Sean were dope as hell. This album is gonna piss some people off. Top tier rappers minus Kendrick and Wayne are about to get their shit handed to them

Notice how countless people praised and complimented Nas for EPMD2 by saying "he gives Eminem so much time on his own track and even allows him to switch beats, he gives Em the "shine", Nas is so great for doing that!" And so on but not a single soul of those saying that ever say the same, when Eminem gives the biggest parts of his tracks to other Detroit artists and let them shine and show their skills and talent and exposes them to the entire world? Eminem doesn't have to do ANYTHING in the first place, not new music, not new tracks, nothing. He has reached heights, levels and dimensions no other rapper has ever touched and could just chill for the rest of his life. But not only does he create new music for the whole world and his fans to enjoy, he also brings others with him and let them shine and spit for everyone of his fans to see them and get to know them. I'm sure many people didn't know who Babytron is and now they do and he will get a boost wherever possible and also more people will know Big Sean worldwide. If THAT isn't GOAT mentality and moves, if THAT isn't a huge contribution to the culture and to other artists and to Detroit, i don't know what is. 🐐 Motherfu*k the big 3, it's just BIG E! 🐐

This is the Em we need, he's proven his technical now we have the emotions and him making a point that he's the greatest when it comes to rap and he wants the respect he's owed. Everyone who uses logic knows hes the greatest, the rest are going by emotions or money.

RAP is an acronym for rhythm and poetry and Em excels in one aspect of that -- rhythm; this aspect is primarily concerned with rhymes, flow, double entendres and delivery. Nas excels in the poetry aspect of RAP; this part of RAP is concerned with conceptual subject-matter, storytelling, similes and metaphors. Nas is also very good at the rhythm aspect of rap due to the fact that his style is essentially a mix between Rakim and Kool G Rap. A person that values poetry would likely place Nas above Em by citing that technical aspect. Also, Nas has a much better discography than Em

Poetry is a technical aspect of rap and Em is nowhere close to being the best in that component. People hyperfixate on his strength in the rhythm aspect and think that's the end of the discussion. Em doesn't have an abum that touches It was Written let alone Illmatic

It's not about the verse, it's about the song. The whole song sounds like it's just a simple buildup, even during Em's verse. Like even he is just a buildup to something else. And I don't know how to feel if a song is solely for buildup reasons, it's good, but compared to Houdini, it's weaker. We'll see when the album is out.

There's different phases of Em's career, and honestly I think Em is now in his "Legend" phase. He's a Legend and he's gonna make sure you know it. The OGs deserve respect, and that also includes Em. I'd argue he's more in his prime now than ever before.
