Email signup links, where to put them, and what to avoid doing.

Getting people to sign up for your email list isn't as hard as you think. The main thing is to be persistent with where you're putting your links. But make sure that you're following the rules of the platforms when you start leaving links.

Isn’t it the same when someone signs up for 15.% off just to get a discount. I have done it myself several times.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the same..." If someone signs up for the email list just to get the discount that's fine, they're still on the list. If they unsubscribe later that's okay, but you can email them in the meantime and they might come back and by from you again.

Hello! I have an Etsy store for about 3 years now, I was under the impression that they don’t allow email lists… how I can create an email list for my customers on Etsy? Do you have any video where I can find specific details about it?

@@KaraBuntinTutorials sorry, I wasn’t clear, by the same I mean it is kind of like “give away” because there is an incentive for signing up like 10-15% discount.

@@claudiajimenez1308 they do allow e-mail lists, they don’t allow you signing people up without their consent. I made a landing page with mailchimp and I have a link in all of my Etsy listings for them to sign up to get a discount. However, I run a sale a lot so my discount won’t be useful to them anyway. I do see people signing up, I hope those are the people that are genuinely interested and not just the ones that don’t know that you can’t stack codes on Etsy 😀.
