That will be the problem with Dallas until Jerry Jones either sell the team, retires from the team, or transitions.

Cant believe I’m saying this. THANK YOU SAS!!!! I’ve been saying this about Kellen Moore since his first season as OC. He refuses to run the ball and gives up on it so quick despite that being the clear winning formula to win with Dak (29-0 in his career when they run more than they pass). I’m convinced that Kellen is just trying to prove himself as like the next Sean McVey with an air attack 🤦‍♂️

Truth. Until yesterday I was a cowboy fan for the last 30 + years, and I am embarrassed at this franchise.

Dallas embarrassed them themselves with undisciplined play. #1 team in penalties this season. 14 penalties this game. Blown plays, like the delay of game after the completed trick punt play on 4th down. Undisciplined, sloppy play. Dallas has the talent, bad coaching, and sloppy play kept them from the comeback and potentially the win. It's coachable stuff, that's why it's disappointing, and honestly, why I still question if McCarthy is a good enough coach for this team. Better luck next season.

I'm seriously considering abandoning the Cowboys. This Jones family and the way they run the franchise is just a real problem for me. They don't know what they're doing when it comes to building a championship team. No company would allow a CEO to go 26 years without reaching a set goal and let them keep their job. They have done an amazing job with brand image and marketing of the team and capitalizing on past successes but the on-field product is just not good. They have not invested a first round pick in a QB since they drafted Troy Aikman. Dak Prescott is a project with great leadership skills but he's not a great QB. His accuracy is not good. Also, he seems to miss reads and take too long in the pocket. They shouldn't have drafted Elliot with such a high pick. Most teams get great production with running backs drafted in the mid-rounds. They have improved at drafting but they are still not a great drafting team. I don't see this changing so I have to decide if it's worth it to root for a team that I know will never win another Super Bowl.

I argue w/myself on this at times: is the end-of-the-game play more important than a missed opp earlier in the game? My inclination is mostly no. The fact is that plays earlier in the game have an outsized influence on the importance of the final plays.
