For everyone who is using oneDirve Business.... you won't find the embed option. To still use this method, please open the file, click file (in the menu bar) then save as -> share and there you will find the embed option. Still - thank you very much for your video it really helped me a lot. First I only was disappointed why I can not find the embed option.

Thanks Not sure why I can still see it. So I log into One Drive. Go to the file. Click the 3 dots. And there is the embed.

@@websquadron as far as I know that's the difference. At least what I have found in a microsoft forum stated from microsoft itself. I found your video, got really excited and was then disappointed because I wasn't able to find the embed option. Then I found the difference plus the workaround so I thought I should share it in case others have the same problem.

im having a client right now where its a restaurant that has their entire wine list in an excel file and they want to be able to just have that displayed on their website , cuz its updated often

Thank you so much, I've been looking for this! One question, I'm using Opera browser and Elementor for my web, how do I block the copy option when left clicking on my embedded excel? ppl can't edit my excel but they can still select and copy.

Thanks! Great idea! I'll try. What is the difference if I paste there as an image (not good for seo persp.), or in a simple html code ( good with seo perspective) into wp page. Why Im askin is i would like to give the opportunity to the crawler robots to check the text in the sheet as sometime i add info into the sheet which is important from SEO perspective too. What is your experience with this solution? Thanks, Rob

Just what I needed! Bonus question, any ideas on how to create a log of what values people change? I have a spreadsheet with a few inputs and it would help me gather what most people input. Maybe I can track changes? Any thoughts?

Thanks for the video. This is a real game changer for me. I do, however, have one issue with it. When the spreadsheet is rendered on the Wordpress page the row heights seem to be totally random, ranging from 1 row to four or five. Any suggestions?

This is timely info and am using this to great effect. I wonder, however, how can we use this on pop-up sliders? For example, I have a pop-up reveal that slides out to about 60% of the screen. Can we use this to achieve a desired effect?

Thumbs up! This is just what I was hoping to find - BUT I am unable to have any other load the page without signing in to their Microsoft account, and when they do - it appears I have to give them access in my sharepoint library? What step am I missing to make it available for everyone?

They shouldn’t have to log in. You need to save it in your one drive and not share point library and also check that you have allowed public access

I have an Excel spreadsheet that retrieves stock market prices. So, the values on the spreadsheet are constantly changing during the hours that the stock markets are open. Is there a way to embed this sheet into a web page and have these constant updates reflected on the web page ? ( The only way that I can think of is to keep the file open in Excel somewhere that is constantly saving to Onedrive which is not very practical. )

If you have a spreadsheet linked to a table on another site that automatically refreshes daily will it also refresh on your wordpress site if embeded? Anyway to make the process automatic too. Thanks

i have a selector/calculator created in excel however i dont want user on website to change all text only the 'selector' sections - is there a way to switch certain columns off and only have the calculating sections on?

They can never overwrite the embedded Excel. You Could protect cells with passwords.

@@websquadron Thanks for response. i have another question. My client created quite a complicated calculator, it imports perfectly, however on the wordpress page it gives us a bar at the bottom that gives the visitor option to log in to microsoft office (bottom left) or view full workbook (bottom right). Client does not want this, they want the info to stay on the wesite only and NOT open in onedrive (all inputs of the calculator should do calculation only on website page - not open in antoher application) Is that possible or do you know of a plugin (other than tablepress) that i could possibly try. Tablepress cuts the spreadsheet in half and doesnt give option to scroll left - even though this option is ticked.

Me too now - but last week it was there. Possibly the latest Microsoft update. So annoying. You can still embed from within the spreadsheet on MyDrive. Click File, Share, Publish to Web. It's not as good but still works.

I also do not have an embed option. I am using my college administrated OneDrive. If you are also using OneDrive through a school, that might be why we can not embed things. Schools might disable this function?

However, the availability of this option can be restricted or disabled for security or privacy reasons. If you are unable to find the "Embed" option in your OneDrive interface, it is recommended to check the settings and permissions associated with your OneDrive account. Additionally, if you are using OneDrive within an organisation or through a work or school account, it is possible that the administrator has disabled the "Embed" option for security or policy reasons. If you require the ability to embed OneDrive files and the option is not available, you may need to reach out to your administrator or account provider for further assistance in enabling the feature or to understand any limitations that may be in place.

Help! This is really clear, but when I follow your instructions and I go to the Excel file in my OneDrive file, there are no 'three little dots', and nowhere can I find an 'embed' option. What am I doing wrong, please? I'm in Windows 11 and the latest Excel.

I did this successfully a week ago, and now the embed option doesn't appear anywhere on My Drive. I can embed it using the File- Share- Publish to Web , but there are no interaction/publishing options. Off to learn how to set the size but it was so easy before! Google Sheets is not an option as I need the sheet to be searchable, that's where this video solved my issue.

@@websquadron yes, I am. In the past, I have the option to customise how I want my embedded link to look like. But now it is not appearing again. The excel sheet is a user interactive calculator, that is why I need to customise it.
