Lots to go over in this video, lets start with the weber genesis, the weber gas grill has been an American staple for a long time, and its such a reliable grill, has a ten year warranty and is one of the very best gas grills for the money easily. The heart of these grills is the aluminum tub, the 335 is a nice upgrade compared to the base grade 310, and comes in different finishes and colors. Not a big fan of the broil king gas grill in general, I feel like there are better grills out there for the money, the other two in this video for instance. The Napoleon Prestige 500 is the real winner here however. This guy boasts a true infrared technology side burner, full rotisserie kit, and a lifetime warranty. So for me this grill is the real winner, why would you not want a superior product with a better warranty? It just makes sense right? The features on this grill are outstanding, and Napoleon really stands above the rest in my opinion in the gas grill market.
Dont forget if your in the Denver Colorado Area, come down to our showroom today to see these products for yourself!

Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this kzfaq.infoUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.

I enjoyed your review! Thank you! For my two cents, I purchased a Napoleon Prestige 500 in 2017 and it continues to hold up pretty well. I use my grill almost daily, so the price has been well worth it. The infrared burner is awesome. The grill greats and heat diverters are solid. I've had issues with the gas nobs and the igniters wearing out. Napoleon Customer Service was great and replaced them both. I would still stand by my pick. Oh and if you can, go with the natural gas version. I can never go back to propane!

Thanks for the comparison. I didn't even realize the stainless steel grates were available on the 3-burner weber. Speaking of grill performance, I think it's important to talk a bit about grill cooking evenness. A simple toast test to check for hot zones and editing in a picture of all three gas grill cooking-evenness would be sufficient. Another thing to note is that crossover tubes may cause hot spots over where the tubes are, but I'm sure all three of these cook relatively even.

The "cooking tub" is the firebox. I'm on year 12 with a Broil King Soverign XLS 90. Both sides fold down (yes the one with the burner) and I think they should on the one in the video too. The reason why I went with the BK was price and features. When I got mine burners on the BK were 5 years and on the Weber were 10 years.. Everybody that I knew with a BK got 10 plus years out of the tube burners, so that was a moot point for me. The biggest factor? If I rhymed off all the features of the BK at a Weber dealer (cooking space, side burner, rotisserie burner, BTUs, four main burners, rotisserie kit) the price was easily more than double. I live in Canada and the service for a BK was beyond anything the two others could achieve because the BBQs were made relatively close. We registered the BK and if there was any issue with it or any added parts for safety, they were on my porch in two days,. I did not respond to their safety notice and they shipped the parts anyway based on my registration address. The sear zone. No. If I turn that BK up to the Pow-R-Zone it will burn charcoal like sear marks into the meat, which I don't want When we were breaking it in it got the flavour bars glowing all orange, the main grids were glowing orange and the top grate was glowing orange too. Burner is great for cooking sides so you don't have to run into the house if you are grilling. I used mine the other day to cook some onions because I didn't want to smell them in the house for a few days. I think that the other grills are prettier. I think that they may have better fit and finish over a BK. After you have multiple grills, smokers, pellet grills, stick burners, charcoal bullets at the same time, pretty takes a back seat. Those are for the guys who brag about the BBQ, not the food from the BBQ. I just need to cook the food. Changed all my burners and the holder last fall for $47. All nice pure blue flames, no hot or cold spots.Seriously, with the extra money I saved I bought a Traeger pellet grill.

This was a very well balanced, comprehensive, objective review. The only area that seemed to get little attention though is fairly significant...burners. The Broil King clearly has an edge over the excellent Napoleon and Weber grills, with its dual-tube burners. The dual-tube burners equalize the gas pressure inside the burner so that the heat is even front to back. Standard tubular burners tend to have higher pressure in the front of the burner and can give you uneven heating. Obviously you can get outstanding results from all three grills. I have had a Broil King Regal for 4 years now, having owned high end Weber and Viking grills in the past, and the high, even heat and range of flame control is impressive.

as someone who has experience with each of 3 three grills, although the tubes may be superior, everything else in the build is of less quality especially the grease flow and waste management on broil kings is atrocious due to the insulated design of the cook box (poor design in my eyes)

I got the Napoleon Prestige 500 7 years ago, and until I bought that grill I HATED side burners. Never used them, because they were generally useless. Wish I had the lit up dials though. I think those came out the year after I bought mine. (Naturally.) The Napoleon is a fantastic grill - and with the charcoal insert (which was part of a bonus pack when I bought mine with spatula/tongs/cutting board) it's almost unstoppable. I've done all-day charcoal smokes on the thing ... but it's pretty high maintenance. So I'm adding a pellet grill this year. Easy to take apart and clean, love the slide-out tray for cleaning too. Love it. Haven't had any experience with Broil King, but my inlaws have a Weber that's about 30 years old now. And it works great to this day. Only thing I don't like about the old Weber is the burners run side-to-side instead of front-to-back. Makes it much harder to do indirect heat because you lose so much grill space. Good to see they've gone to a front-to-back layout now. Although I doubt I'll need to replace the Napoleon anytime soon.

Embers Fireplaces & Outdoor Living - here is a little tip for you and your followers. If you hate cleaning the grease off your removable components (grates and plates), the easiest, cleanest and most environmentally friendly way to clean them is by putting them in a self cleaning oven if you own one. No mess but make sure you ventilate you’re house to avoid setting of your smoke alarm.

Your vids helped me decide on the Napoleon. I forgot the model I went with but I bought it at a local big box store up here in New England. It is not as fancy as this one shown but it has 4 burners. I am generally very happy with it, at least compared to any other grill I have had in the past (all generic brands). My one mention (not complaint, just providing this data as a fairly new owner), is that I thought in buying a Weber or Napoleon that gone would be the days where I wouldn't have to worry about internal grease fires since the sides are sloped enough and the V-shaped burner covers would all let the grease drop way down below the fire. Well, I have still experienced this several times in the 8 months I have owned it. And it wasn't like it was something super greasy, it was regular rib-eye stakes and even once with chicken if you can believe it. So, I think the next time I buy a grill I will try the Weber in hopes that is better than the Napoleon for this one reason. Again, other than this, I am happy with the Napoleon. It starts every time, stays relatively clean, heats excellent and even, looks good, and is definitely way better than any other grill you can get in the low end at the box stores.

It's almost impossible to not have grease fires.. I'm not sure what a webber would do better as once grease gets hot and a flame it's starts on fire. I'd like to hear from webber owners if thiers doesn't start of fire anymore then any other grill they have had.

Good work on the video. Good delivery and honest opinions. Don’t back down from your playful commentary- people like personality in videos and customer service. 👍 I have the Napoleon Prestige and the Broil King Regal and ill take my Regal all day if I could only have one. The Napoleon for sure has way better fit and finish and is better built but my Regal gets MUCH hotter and it tends to hold the heat better. It has more even heat across the stock grill grates when compared to my Napoleon as well. Maybe it depends what you like to grill but when i want to put a sear on a steak the cover comes off the Regal. Yea the Napoleon has the infrared sear but then if I wanted to cook a steak without fire (I dont) I’d use a cast iron pan and butter/oil and that would out perform the sear station in my opinion. The only bad thing i have to say about my Broil King is that the burners only last 2 years before they need to be replaced but I’m pretty much always cooking on high and the grill gets hotter and hotter faster than my Napoleon. The grease trap on the Broil king is also a weak point and the finish is flaking off the side of the Regal as well after 3 years even with a cover on all the time. Basically the Regal is a jet engine that gets HOT and does it’s job and the Napoleon looks nice and is built better but can’t put a decent sear on a steak. I’ll take performance over theory and style... Maybe i just got a dud Napoleon? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I purchased the Prestige 500 a few years ago. The performance of the burners are great. It gets super hot when needed and with 4 burners you can set up a direct heat zone and indirect heat zone very easily. There are some negatives (that I can live with). The knobs are not very sturdy (I had to replace them). The hood thermometer stopped working some time ago and the elevated warming grate didn’t stand up to the heat and grease splatter. The biggest annoyance was the grate over the infrared burner. I can’t tell if the cast iron grate in the video requires seasoning or if it is coated in porcelain. But, the grate over my infrared grill (from a few seasons ago) came with a non-coated cast iron grate. That means it needs seasoning like a cast iron skillet or else food will stick and the iron will rust. But, the infrared grill gets so hot that the seasoning burns off regardless of what oil you use to season. After a season of meticulous care, it still rusted. So, I stopped using the side burner for grilling (though us it to deep fry in a wok). I am eyeing buying the stainless steel grate as a replacement.

Great video! I’m in the market for a barbecue and have narrowed it down to the Napoleon Prestige 500 and the Napoleon Rogue XT 625. I’m not sure exactly which to go for as I don’t think I’ll ever use the rotisserie feature and the lights on the knobs don’t seem to be a major bonus for me. I feel the extra burner (5 burner for the XT 625 vs 4 burner on prestige) would be more useful to me. I would love to hear your advice and expertise on which barbecue you would recommend I buy and if the extra 200$ to jump to the prestige 500 is worth it.

Just had my Napoleon 500 in Black Enamel delivered and setup. It is the natural gas model and without the LP bottle in the cabinet it has a lot of storage. This is replacing a three burner Weber grill that is at least 25 years old with a perfect red enameled cover. Both are built like a tank and I expect my Prestige 500 to last just as long. I keep my grills cleaned and maintained, covered when not in use.

Excellent review and comparison. I have hard time to make my final decision between prestige 500 and genesis s-335. Prestige is 200CAD more expensive here in Canada. Prestige looks have all functions you may need. But I heard Weber does the best job on even heat. I also read some review about Napoleon doesn’t heat evenly. Uneven heat and hot spot is my only concern about Napoleon. Any suggestions about that? Thank you.

After lots of research (but not this video), I ordered the Napoleon Prestige 500 RSIB a couple weeks ago. Can't wait to get it! Unfortunately, FedEx is a mess and has it a terminal near me for 11 days now. Ughh! Anyway, I'm hoping for the best with it. So tired of buying $400 - $500 grills that always last 3 - 4 years! A few things I found strange with trying to buy a Napoleon..... Almost no one has them in stock, some sites are now showing 12 - 16 weeks til it would ship. Also, for some reason the warranty differs from different retailers....strange! Thanks for your video review though! Seems like I made the right choice and even got a free grill cover included with it (though, apparently the cover is backordered and won't ship til August). How can they be so far behind in manufacturing these grills? They're losing out on basically the entire grill buying season. I also read that the Napoleon models lower than the Prestige (like the Rogue for example) are made at a factory in China. Though, the Prestige and higher models are strictly made and tested in Canada. That's one more reason to get the Prestige series.

We are glad you did your research! We are certain you made an awesome choice!! But yeah you're right! Covid dealt some damage to pretty much all grill and fireplace companies! I have a Weber spirit and I take care of it but 3 years in and the grates rusted , the burner tubes clogged, flavorizors disintegrated. Now Weber was good on service and sent me all the parts as it’s under warranty so I can’t complain but I thought I would get more life out it. Maybe it’s the hot humid Florida weather , but I keep it covered too…

I had a weber e320 from 2009 and the lid was super solid. You could lift holding the handle off centered and there would be no flex. At home dumpo I noticed the lids seem to have way more twist. Same with dishwashers, but that's a different story. Anyone know how solid or flimsy these grills' lids are? Also if the grill cooking area is pretty much the same, isn't it better to have more burner tubes? So you would have a more even heat?

What's the advantage of an infrared side burner? I've only used mine (non-ir) for frying outside, so I won't stink up the place. Is it better suited for searing sous vide steaks than the main grill? Can I still use pans on the infrared side burner? The Napoleon does look like a very good grill, ignoring the hideous leds, too bad it's x2.5 the price of the weber locally. Oh and you forgot to mention that the Weber's burners are removable for easier cleaning.
