God sent me here. I suffered so much with my self esteem in my second pregnancy, avoiding mirrors and always conscious of what ppl think of me. Thank you ladies for sharing confidence truly is no destination.❤

In 2014 when I was in matric I was bitten by bed bugs and they left black spots on my body, since then I would wear long pants, I hated dresses...but now I am learning to embrace my flaws, while trying to find remedies. I started wearing dresses again this year. I am grateful for such conversations.

This was so personal for me because I'm so so insecure with and in my skin. I have an auto immune disease where my skin just reacts every month and it leaves marks on my body. It took me so long to find out what the problem was. I became that girl who'd cover up her body but as I grew older I learnt to live with it. N it's a journey that is so hard; some days it's better n some days I just want to hide.

This was a really good conversation. It got me thinking about my own insecurities and how the truly evolve over time. I'm more confident now that I'm grown, but back then? Sis, I always classified myself as the "Not so pretty girl".

I love this conversation, I've been bullied a lot in my primary and high school and I was like Botlhale I would say I might not be beautiful but I'm smart but that affected my confidence which I'm still struggling with.

😢so now the people that will just come at your child to say yhooo ngwana gago o maswe and proudly so they say . Oh my God imagine growing up knowing you are ugly 😢and have to say I must find something that will make me look pretty atleast. Arg Man this really contributes to insecurities

This is why parents need to affirm their children at home, because outside they get to meet different people outside who tell them all sort of things. But you see, if you build their confidence at home nothing can move them outside.
