Ninja Nerds!
Join Professor Zach Murphy for the next discussion we will be having on the development of the Embryo! We continue this Embryology series by explaining how Gastrulation occurs. During this lecture, we pick up where we left off and continue into the second week of gestation. Zach gives a brief overview on the concept of implantation of the embryo, and continues with the bilaminar disc and how it will eventually form the trilaminar disc consisting of the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm! We also discuss the formation of the notochord and what it is specifically responsible for. It is truly unbelievable how we can form and develop into so much from one tiny cell, so let's learn everything we can on the fascinating process of embryogenesis. We hope you enjoy this lecture and be sure to support us below!

Hey bro, I’m a doctor and during my medical education, embryology was one of the less preferred classes because of its difficulty. I can say that before your videos, I didn’t know NOTHING about embryology, and now I watched your videos and I understand it perfectly. I can say that you are better by far than medical school professors. Thanks I really admire you!

So my Swedish medical school thought it was a good idea to introduce embryology in term 1 and do it in 2 weeks, then completely forget about it and assume that we remember this abstract topic one year later when we´re about to talk about gonadal development... I panicked and came here and I wasn´t disappointed.

this is the first time in my medical school that I understood this video, and you made me more interested in embryology first time ever, thank you so much. Till now I was just cramming things and forgetting.
