The fractal organization of life starting with individual neurons up to an entire brain and beyond into large corporations following the same patterns. The basic pattern is a particular number of lower order entities converging into a higher order representative. Neurologically, the ratio is anywhere between 1,000:1 to 10,000:1. In the human realm, the ratio is anywhere from 4:1 to 20:1. Some examples include: 4 soldiers to a squad leader and 4 squads to a platoon leader. 20 associates to a supervisor, 20 supervisors to an executive, 20 executives to a CEO. 20 students to a class, 20 classes to a school, 20 schools to a district. Dozens of devises to a home router, dozens of routers to a node, dozens of nodes to a gateway router, dozens of gateway routers to an ISP.

Wait, so is it possible that there is, or might be, or will be, Emergence based on all human beings on this planet? I always wondered what might happen with humanity once we hit so-called "critical threshold" of population. We are currently very close to 8 bilions, Im really curious whether something will "triger". I still doubt it but am definitely curious. 😉 I really like your videos, thank you!

I wonder this as well. Perhaps one day we will all become connected enough to form a new singular consciousness. But that would mean everyone would have to forsake their ego completely, and I think humanity is pretty far off from that.

That's what nation states, orthodoxies, corporations and other egregores more generally are IMO What we need is to move from a paradigm where our emergent behaviors are symbiotic rather than parasitic like they are right now

mhmm... you may be interested in Stan Grof’s work/theory on Spiritual Emergence, which psychiatry currently ignores. Won’t get into it here but I will be addressing this with my colleagues upon graduation.

Max Tegmark has a TED talk on you tube about how consciousness might be an emergent property of certain particle patterns such as say , particle patterns of an awake brain vs particle patterns of a sleeping brain. It would be interesting to hear how this possibility might fit into to Donald Hoffman's Fitness beats Theorem. Or how these ideas may clash.

It appears you have a strong preference toward String Theory. I propose string theory lacks symmetry and takes to much pretzel twisting with the math, I find The theory of strings might be emergent but not fundamental...

I wonder if there is a planet out there where the inhabitants move in this way. all of the people are individuals, but they recognize they are all the same species and act as one for the good of the entire group. I feel certain that exists somewhere

@@Carlos.Explains *"We shall see!"* ... It's been 55 years. Maybe they should fabricate a "new dimension" for every year String Theory is still being considered? ... With that many dimensions you could plausibly fabricate an all-powerful god.
