You know it’s a really sad world when people truly want to be good and do the right thing, but don’t do it because of fear of prejudice and of being accused of something… 😓

What is sadder is that movies like this push that false narrative and people buy into it. You do know dialing 911 allows you to ask for an ambulance right? Instead, oh know, don't call 911 the cops will shoot me. You do understand that their actions throughout the entire night lead to the very thing they were afraid of in the first place. They caused their own situation by believing a false narrative.

I get that Sabrina Carpenter is the biggest name, but the plot of the movie is about the perception of white girls and black men, and how unfair it is and then they go and put her name on the title when it's clearly more about the 2 black guys. Personally, I'm a fan of RJ Cyler since "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" and would have clicked for his name too.

I'm a Sabrina fan but I agree. This is not the first time they have done something like this to grab views. They put Sabrina in the thumbnail and tittle but she ends up being in the trailer for a short time and it's disappointing. Let the thumbnail and tittle be about the actual leads.. we will watch it if it is good not only because it has someone big and popular like Sabrina.
@jaywawayma7765 Жыл бұрын
They use her name to attract viewers that may not know the other actors like me and I recognize their faces but wouldn’t of came for their names so it’s not a bad thing and it’s bringing more attention to their names so

@@byronsmith3152 my takeaway from the movie... Doing the right thing is not always the right thing to do. Myself, I would do the same thing as Kunle did and follow my moral compass. I have a difficult time walking away from someone in need. Unrelated, but slightly similar situation. I know in the past, I’ve tried to help ladies in domestic violence situations, set everything up for them to break away from the violence, get them the help they needed... only to change their minds, not follow through and stay with the abuser. Would I do it again? Today, tomorrow, and the next day without hesitation. Why? Because I grew up trying to figure out my my mother chose to stay with an abuser and keep us in harms way, for her and myself. Once I graduated, married, moved out and got away from the violence... she finally had the courage to kill him. And got away with it, only to confess on her deathbed seven years later. He beat her up one too many times, and once she knew I was safe... she “handled it”.
@byronsmith3152 Жыл бұрын
@@Brian-mp2mv I agree with doing the right thing. However, Kunle did everything wrong as soon as he listened to his friend and did not call 911. He was reacting from a place of fear that should never have been there. Even once they decided to take her from the house, they could have called 911 and simply said they found her on the side of the road passed out.

They way i saw it they should have called 911 they endangered that girl for selfishness...there was no indication of doing the right thing though they did nothing wrong...they are assuming all cops are going to shoot them...i didn't see the cops do anything wrong either they had to assess the situation and make sure there was no danger...i see nothing racist about this movie ...this is an attempt at sympathy for how cops treat black men...it didn't succeed...what is worse they made the cops look like the bad guys...may i remind you they risked that girl life...this movie only proves that if you make bad decisions your going to pay for them...as for the ending its an insult for slamming the door...i would have pressed charges they were in the wrong...that girl could have died....if they did the right thing all that could've been avoided....again call 911
