I would like to make two suggestions. First you should always have an O2 E-tank with a regulator and gas line available in the room. Don't waste time visually inspecting the sweep gas circuit on the pump. It could be leaking for a dozen places which are not visible. Instead immediately connect the E-tank directly to the gas inflow port to determine if the sweep gas circuit on the pump is not working properly. Secondly ALL cardiopulmonary bypass circuits should contain a PRONTO line (Parallel Replacement of the Oxygenator that is Not Transferring Oxygen). See reference below. Splice in the new oxygenator/heat exchanger in parallel to the old one using the PRONTO line without ever taking the patient off bypass. Gary Grist RN CCP Perfusion. 2002 Nov;17(6):447-50. what is the life span of oxygenator?......after how many surgery we need to change oxygenator? please answer if possible

You change the oxygenator after each surgery of course. And the lifespan of this type of oxygenator that we see in this video is 6 hours referring to the manufacturer.

It's Probably 6 Hours But It Can Last Long As Depending Upon The Flows And Temp 🙃✨
