An alternative ELP album from the early 70s.
This mixes together pieces of ELP (demos, out-takes and isolated vocals) with fan performances, pieces by The Nice and Spontaneous Combustion (Greg Lake's side project band). May the magic of Keith, Greg and Carl live forever.
SIDE ONE:
0:01 The Sage
5:30 Lucky Man
8:20 Promenade
9:30 The Only Way
SIDE TWO:
14:47 Hang On To A Pebble
29:23 Manticore
A shameful plug for my other hobby:
historyofliverp...

I used an isolated vocal track from Tarkus and placed it over instrumental versions of some of the tracks. This way you can hear more of Greg's voice. I'm not exactly Steve Wilson, but I have a go!

Without a doubt, a great album this MANTICORE that our friend rael nyc presents to us this night. With songs by Emerson Lake & Palmer from his first albums, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Pictures at an Exhibition and Tarkus. This album by rael nyc has transported me back to those happy times of my youth when I used to delight in listening to these Emerson Lake & Palmer albums. My sincere thanks to rael nyc and his supporters who have made this achievement possible.

Thank you! I don’t have to be labeled a purist simply because I prefer to listen only to the authentic musicians, but I admit I don’t want to hear copies of any kind unless they are explicitly and clearly expressed as such with FULL description of whom I’m listening to. I'm sorry, I don't know what to think of your compilation. Definitely a lot of work. But as deep connoisseurs of ELP, these are just snippets of the real pieces. Strangely mixed and changed with no logic. You should strive to create something new, but very close to ELP,

I agree it's not earth-shattering, but most people like it. I'm just a fan, downloading outakes from youtube and blending them together in a free sound-editor. I'd give this 8/10 myself! I'm happy with it on the whole, but I think in retrospect the 'Pebble / Dream' mix is a little messy and not all of the Tarkus isolated vocals match up with the instrumental track 100% (These were two separate tracks I mixed together)

@@progessiverockstories Quite honestly, I like this better than your other "imagined" LPs (and most of those were quite good). I'd honestly give this a 9.25/10...honestly. @@davideig4281 I'm sorry and annoyed about that, but I have no control over the adverts. You could consider using a 'KZfaq to mp3' site and saving a copy of it as a single file.
