Honestly, with the chest plate, calf thrusters, shoulder thrusters... this is the most Gundam transformer I can remember.

2 fixes i figured out! 1: If your arms don't want to stay tabbed in and fall out with all and any movement, then tighten the small screw on his back on the armature the arm is fastened on, on mine like Emgo's was comming untabbet when positioning the arms, it will still happen to a degree, but tightening the screws on his back helped loads with this issue. 2: if you for any reason have a loose ratchet in the lower leg area, take off the screw hole covers, which fell out on its own in the revieuw and tighten the screw in there, it will tighten the ratchet in the leg that's attached to the black plastic, not too tight or else it might break. Mine was loose and tigtening that screw helped me with any stability issues i had with the figure. 3: shoutout to emgo for another stellar revieuw! and for once i had the figure before the revieuw came out! yay me. XD

This set keeps getting more and more impressive. Can’t wait to see the full predaking

That armour mode really reminds me of Deathscythe Hell from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz.

You know, if the Rampage of this set looked like a Zoid, then Divebomb looks like a Super Sentai villain in his robot mode. This might be the first Predaking who can hold his sword in an upright pose, but with those rachets, will he ever be able to lower it again?

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was related to the Beast Wars Mega Doragon, but this is so much better. This Predaking is going to be MASSIVE

@emgo316, Matt here. I've watched this video numerous times over periods of time after getting my figure of Firmament and might be able to help you. When you mentioned in the video of not knowing how to take him apart to locate screws and such to try to help with the combiner peg, your starting point is the two grey pieces on his chest, next to his shoulders, right above the yellow part of the chest. Those pieces are pegged in on either side. You'll have to work your way from there to nearly take him apart (literally having his waist up in parts and his waist down, just a pair of legs.) Might have to try WD 40 or something to help or whatever may work 4 you to loose the ratchet joint in the combiner peg. Still working on mine, but hopefully, this helps..

it's refreshing to see Divebomb get so much goodness! Him, and really the flying combiner members, and pretty much most bird bots always kinda get the shaft. Not many have known how to do them justice, until this guy right here.

With these beast modes, I'd be hard pressed to combine them.

Thanks for the review emgo316, I learned 2 new things about this toy At 8:16 the tab for probably a stand, cool I didn't know about this At 24:56 the screw cover. Actually, when I received mine this little piece was laying around and I couldn't find where it came from. Again thanks for the review, is an awesome transformer! BTW, I read other reviewers having difficulty with the joints and some recommended using silicone-based oil (1 or 2 drops), I haven't tried it on mine but I'll plan to do so later on.

I know we've fixed the Gold Plastic Of Death issue, but still, every time I see a toy with that much gold on it there's a part of my tiny goblin brain that starts shrieking in terror ...

TFC's Lucifer (Cutthroat) looks amazing and it kind of borrows some transformation elements from this one.

Damn that is a swag ass bird man! The folded wings on his back look like one of those big fur cloaks. If you only get one guy from this set; make it Divebomb. (Unless Razorclaw ends up being cooler)

That little transclearant piece on the chest reminds me of the Wing Gundam.

in all honestly, that crab/hands bot is actually the coolest thing ive probably ever seen any combiner bot do with the hands instead of just storing them on some other bot or of to the side in the drawer of lost parts

I like how this version of Divebomb reminds me of Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The trick to the combiner post is to push the release tab on post and pull simultaneously. It's still hard ass hell to pull but it works.

you're right - the combiner peg is insanely tight. My only solution was to use some o-ring lubricant to lower friction. it's still really tight, but it's safe for plastic and much easier to extend and retract.

I wanna see this guy and the Rampage repainted as Laserbeak & Ravage. Divebomb's head looks like a Seeker so maybe a Starscream repaint aswell.

I love how this looks. Though I think it would have been cool if those huge awesome talons had formed the hand instead of it being a separate thing. I know that means breaking tradition and symmetry but they are right there and I think it would've been cool

i have been laughing at the crab hand gimmic for ten minutes now. I have a feeling that I will watch this video in the future and still laugh at crab hand. I love these vids.

I don't have this guy yet, but I have the other two and I definitely encountered the same problem with the combiner posts/ports being too tight. Here's what worked for me: silicone shock oil. It's made for RC cars so it won't damage the plastic. A few drops around the sides of the joint followed by a bit of wiggling to work it in and it moves a lot more easily now. A drop or two can also get rid of the squeaking on some of those tighter hinges. Don't go crazy, though, as too much will affect the joint's tightness.

the wing armor mode reminds me of the icarus megazord from wild force

transformers with a bird-ish alt mode have never looked this good (I like gigapower's swoop and kingdom airazor too but there is no competition)! The proportion & transformation designs of the beast mode are amazing and I hope this figure can set an example for future designs.

Finally, Predacrab.

From the presence alone, and how many options you get with him, I'd say Firmament is the best of the Cang Toys Predacons so far. Definitely worth the wait. Still hate how stupid tight the combiner connectors in the arms are. Best I could so it stick a very short Phillip's head screwdriver in the screw port for (slightly) easier leverage. I get the joints need to be tight for the final combiner, but there has to be a better compromise of stability and ease of use...

Just got this figure and, man is it mind blowing Having landbull and ferocious I was expecting a lot from this figure, and it delivered So far personally this is my favourite cang toys figure, really a shame though that the combiner peg is overly tight

Not have you see the mini dive bomb on show z store it’s sooo cool and it’s a smaller version of this and dam didn’t expect this to be so recent

Regarding the hand-crab, couldn't one of the 'bots have come with some sort of whip (perhaps Razorclaw, as revenge against lion-tamers)...? Then, instead of a crab, we could use the whip as a tail and have a scorpion, which would make a bit more sense. After all, crabs tend to only be found near water, and pose little threat to anyone with closed-toed shoes. Unless this is supposed to be the aquatic element of their attack force...? Plenty of land-based animals, Firmament/Divebomb as their air force and... the mighty _Handcrab_ as their navy...? Don't come at the Predacons by sea, or they'll... I guess, mildly inconvenience you? Ruin your nice day at the beach? Chase you away by nipping at your heels? Kill you, but only in the unlikely event that you eat them and have a serious shellfish allergy? It just feels like a scorpion - or maybe using some of the other combiner-kibble to build an abdomen on the back and calling it a spider - would be a bit more on-brand for a team of lethal killing machines.

I can understand why some people hate parts-forming, since it increases the risk of losing parts (especially if some parts aren’t used in the alternate mode). However, I’d rather have some parts-forming if it means having better-looking and more stable alternate modes.

Interesting. From the looks of things, it's technically feasible to hypothetically move the arms into place without moving the wings. ...not easily, mind you, but it looks feasible. Which is a good thing, in my opinion, if so. Could even apply that in stop motion vids if so. Though, it'd certainly be more of a hassle to transform it that way.
