Emil Gorovets - Soviet, Israeli and American singer, composer and songwriter, teacher, translator, radio host
He started in the city of Gaisin, in the folk theater, where the young Gorovets was given a role in the play. During the war he was evacuated to Tashkent. The artistic director of the State Jewish Drama Theater (GOSET) Solomon Mikhoels took Emil to his theater after graduation

In Moscow, Gorovets met the famous jazzman Eddie Rosner, who opened a pop orchestra at the Mosconcert in 1954. Emil began to sing at orchestra concerts. Emil Gorovets wrote music to poems by Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Robert Rozhdestvensky, Yuli Kim and other poets, and also composed songs to his own poems. Leading composers and poets of that time began to write for him. The singer was the first performer of the songs "Drozdy" by Vladimir Shainsky, "Blue Cities" and "I'm walking around Moscow" by Andrey Petrov, "On the seventh floor" by Pavel Aedonitsky, "I love pasta" by Yuli Kim and others
Gorovets was one of the first to perform hits by Western artists. The singer collected stadiums in million-plus cities, including Moscow. His records sold in huge numbers.
In 1972, at the peak of his fame, Emil Gorobets decided to leave the country and went to his historical homeland - Israel. In 1974, Gorovets went to work in the USA. He taught vocals at school, worked on the radio, performed in his own restaurant in Manhattan. All his life in exile, the singer translated into Yiddish and performed Soviet pop songs
The singer traveled a lot with concerts in America and Europe, in 1989 and 1999 he went on tour in Moscow
