I get if he is doing it to make the guest comfortable but if you already know the personality of the person either before or at the start of the interview, back off and let them have the floor.

@@sowhat... it’s not that they don’t have an accent, it’s just that they have been able to duplicate the accent in that place. And most of the times when they say that they refer to pronunciation. I studied language arts and one of the things that we learn is that everybody has an accent. That’s how people can tell where you’re from. For example, when I meet other Latin American people and they hear me speaking in Spanish they can tell I am not from Mexico and many are able to guess that I am from Colombia because of my accent, but when I speak English they aren’t able to do it, because I have been able to kind of copy or replicate the accent where I am living. Anyway, it’s an interesting topic.

Obviously America is the only country in the world so the accent is just what everyone sounds like🙄

I mean anytime Europeans or Americans do Southern American Accents it doesnt even sound close. It usually borders on some weird 1800s Appalachian mixed with Gold Rush Era California accent lol. And they will say things that havent been slang in 80 years like "Bless Your Heart". And we definitely can tell the difference between a England Cockney, Posh, Scottish, Irish accent.
