My review of Jacques Audiard's Emila Perez starring Zoe Saldaña, Adriana Paz, Selena Gomez and Trans Actress Karla Sofia Gascón. The film won two prizes at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival; The Jury Prize and Best Actress for all 4 aforementioned actresses. This is a history-making outcome as this is the first time in Cannes history that a Trans Woman (Gascón) has won Best Actress.

Yeah she does a really good job as a grieving widow. It’s quite a meaty part for her but she also gets to tap into her Disney roots with the singing and dancing. I would says she’s more of a supporting role than a lead but she’s still good here. Not convinced it’s Oscar’s material but I would be happy to be proven wrong. Thanks for watching. Thank you so much. Tbh I was a little nervous about this one. I know the stars have some passionate fan bases and I didn’t want to upset them by saying I only liked it, not loved it. I hope you enjoy the movie though 😊 x

Liked your honest opinion review. Not really my kind of movie. I am your boring std movie watcher. I'd agree that it would be appreciated by those that are more into the art of 🎥 making -out-there kind of stuff. looks like great actors in this.
