I watched the film yesterday in Cannes and let me tell you... it's AMAZING. For me 4,5 out of 5 stars on Letterboxd.

@@mariasiburt1755 Its a French-Mexican co-production with the major company backing it being the French studio Pathe. The director is French and most of it was shot in soundstages near Paris.

The problem are people like Whoopie and others who have it against Selena. The Grammy's, Oscar's, etc., have it against Selena. Let's hope that bias changes eventually. Maybe she will be treated better in Europe.

Un film français de Jacques Audiard tourné en espagnol avec un casting incroyable. J'ai hâte de voir la bande-annonce officielle plus complète. On parle tellement du bien de ce film dans la presse. Sans doute une récompense et peut-être même la Palme d'or.

Definitely hoping her mental health has been under control for a sustained amount of time! Fame and bipolar disorder + other mental health illnesses sadly don’t seem to mix well with fame, but with the right therapy/medition/and most importantly-determination to stay on the path by the patient-I totally think it’s possible for her to engage in a healthier way than in the past!
