I and my children are neurally diverse. In the autistic spectrum . The video on this channel about children and ADHD has comments turned off. We have made leaps and bounds in the understanding of children with ADHD, the language used and even the name of this channel are horrendously out of date and misleading. It's the dark negative view of ADHD that drives people to self harm not ADHD itself. Look at ADHD content made by people on other channels with a much more positive message on this subject. Anything less than 2 years old. It is a gift , not a disorder. You can't nip it in the bud . It's a different kind of mind and different lens on the world. This dark view of ADHD kids causes all the problems. They will be fine if they are treated well and can keep their confidence up through school. Free thinkers. Hunters in a farmers world. They will almost definitely end up running their own business. The trail blazers.

Michael, firstly thanks for the heads up that the comments function wasn't working - now fixed. Secondly thanks for your thoughts and your perspective on the ADHD video. We will certainly feedback to the team on your thoughts on the language used and perception - both of which we value immensely. The films we make are not to "Nip in the Bud" 'disorders or people's experiences. Our founders struggled for years to understand (let alone get a diagnosis) that their daughter was living (and struggling) with OCD. It was for this reason that they decided to make films to try and bridge the gap between professionals who work with children and parents or carers (or people working with children) so that there could be early recognition of what a child's experience was and whether the people (family or schools) were equipped to be able to respond to individual children's needs and ensure that they could indeed blossom - with the freedom and understanding to be free thinkers, hunters in a farmers world & trailblazers. We are certainly aware that non-neurotypical lives are as rich and are to be celebrated just as much as everyone else's, our team is only too aware of this from personal experience.
