While studying at university, Emily was diagnosed with a rare incurable spinal cord tumour. Just six months later, in May 2021, Emily passed away. Her mum, Lisa, shares their story.

this case in particular seems like it went so so quickly. She had her whole life ahead of her. Just returning from university. RIP Emily🕊️

This is absolutely heartbreaking watching the sheer pain as her mother speaks is heart wrenching. Life is so bloody cruel. R.I.P. Emily 🙏❣️

So so sorry for your loss. You can see the love you have for your daughter and clearly she has the love for you . Even after her passing your love is still cleary evident. Such a Beautiful soul ❤😊

So heartbreaking! 💔 it’s absolutely crazy that there aren’t better treatments after the trillions of dollars that have been put into research over the years.

I’m so sorry for your loss… So gut wrenching so devastating. I lost my sister to breast and brain cancer so I feel you. You’re never get over it you just get through it. My condolences and love and prayers for you and your family for strength

So sorry for your loss. The pain is so unbearble when u lost a love one. I loss my dear husband to cancer as well. His suffered so much that his death haunts me everyday. How could God be so cruel. 😢

Wow. This is awful. When i was 22 (now 30) i kept getting Bell’s palsy and numb legs, was scared i had a brain tumor (a boy in my class had just passed from GBM). I remember the morning the doc called when im mri came back. ‘Numerous and various sized lesions’. I was so lucky. It wasnt a brain tumor, it was ms. As shit as it is, i feel so lucky.
