Bro, ive listened to both songs the exact same number of times. Actually, thats a lie. I heard rap devil before killshot, and then have only listened to both back to back, so ive heard rap devil more than killshot. The only lines i remember from rap devil are "beards weird," "black shevel" and mgk bragging about being kinda tall for no reason. I remember like a dozen punch lines from killshot. I have to go listen to rap devil to figure out why em is talking about rihanna and dictionaries because nothing is memorable about it. Mgk just talking about em being a grumpy old man who doesnt understand modern hip hop, so em showed why modern hip hop is beneath him while absolutely sh*tting on mgk.

Rap Devil was a really superficial diss track, though. Em's appearance, choice of clothes, and his height were the punchlines. MGK tried to act like Em was hindering his career, brought up Midwest dads for some reason i can't fathom, and name dropped Hailey Mathers like dude wasn't thirsty for her when she was 16 and used that to go on a press run for over a year. When you really break it down, he wasn't really saying anything of much substance. Oh yeah, and tell Em to stop yelling in the mic. 💀 Em met that energy and out-rapped him. 🤷‍♂️

The problem is you seem to think that a lot of fancy word play makes a great song when it doesn't. It just means your good at putting words together. When you're talking about making an actual good song and especially a diss track you're going to have to come with more than that. Killshot was full of wordplay, but it was boring and extremely lazy. Worse battle song Eminem ever did. Should have kept to his old style and maybe it would have been worth listening to. You trying to compare a rapper and a lyricist. When it comes to battling the rapper almost always comes out on top. Eminem spent the last 4 albums worrying so much about being lyrical that he forgot how to rap and that battling is one part lyrics and one part showmanship

@joshuasimmons6443 There wasn't even that much lyrical shit in killshot?? Yeah there was definitely doubles and a few triples, but most ppl didn't even catch any of them and still think Eminem won. So what does that say? Mgk made a pretty catchy song and I loved the beat, and some good lines that were funny. But for the most part it was just saying "ur old", which wouldn't have even been bad if he would have just said it in a more creative way. Eminem actually addressed every line mgk said and then flipped it back at him while dissing him. But I do agree that I like the tone and aggressiveness of Eminem's older disses more. But it's still no competition, Eminem won that shit.
