I can't believe "old school" is being used in reference to Eminem. When I was growing up "old school" was like Run DMC and the Fat Boys, Rakim and Mely Mel, maybe LL Cool J. The gangster rap era (which Em' came in at the end of) was a totally different thing. It might be "old" now, but I think of "old school" as a genre.

Bruh, nobody actually digests mumble rap as good music, it’s all hype music and the people know it. Mumble rap also doesn’t exist as much now, that a stopped years back when people were biting southern rappers dialect. But there’s no shame in enjoying ignorant hype music for what it is, hype music, party background music. I would play eminem in a lot of scenarios, I’d rather play drake, future, migos, I play what fits the vibe, the mood, not what I think should be played. I cannot stand people who play some sad shit at a gathering.

I just gotta say that I listened to this A LOT back in the day. When I was a young buck trying to find my way in life, my mom held me back a few times, because she always wanted control. What hurt her the most was when I signed up for the Navy, and didn't tell her. She was badly upset, but it was also a realization that she couldn't control my life anymore. We're better now, but dayum... back in the day, this song hit hard.

First time seeing the channel. It's awesome seeing someone have so much emotion listening to his music. That's one thing I love about Eminem is it doesn't matter what type of listener you are if you're there for the bars, the shock value, the story or to feel emotion he cultivates everything and more into his craft. It's just amazing to see. Anyways keep it up that was awesome. And definitely check out when I'm gone with the video if you haven't before

I am huge eminem fan and as far as saying its angry music...its not angry its him being blunt and not covering up shit that's real to save some ppl from getting triggered. Love eminem and anything he works on and puts out to the world ...its always good. Some think that whichever album or two he has is trash. Hell naw none of its trash. I was 18 when dre produced him and dre is one smart dude cuz eminem is the rap genius. So props to this girl for trying to see the other side of what she's used to and respects the man. Great comment, thought the same. I'm sure most rude comments here aren't meant that seriously, but still, I think she's courageous for reaction videos like this. If you experience new music or arts, you never know what they do to you. You get at risk exposing your deeper emotions or even flaws you wanted to hide. What she did was brave and honest, and that is probably the best a human being can be.
@JimmyHey
@JimmyHey 4 жыл бұрын
@@Malakai_030 i also think those comments aren't 100% serious, but people do what they do and they want likes. They don't give a fuck if they're telling her she's dumb and "gaining braincells by listening to Eminem instead of shit mumble rap", they know that Rappers and a lot of the people are shitting on mumble rap right now and they know it'll get likes. They wouldn't say it in her face, but on the internet it's anonymous so they're going with it. I dislike mumble rap, but i don't need to shove it in to someones face or tell them they're dumb for it or discriminate them for it. Let people do, say, read, listen to to whatever makes them happy and/or feel good, jesus, fuck.

I grew up on hieroglyphics, wu tang, dilated peoples, people under the stairs, jedi mind tricks, and etc. You know good hip hop collectives with real lyricism. I hate this mumble rap gen, although I will admit some of their production and beats are savage, it's just unfortunate that such 4 star music is being paired with fast food lyrics. It's like Ramsay on the beat, and hamburglar on the mic. It sad to see. I hope it phases out soon, and if em is the one to do so, then good on him. I dont think em is the greatest ever to touch the mic, but hes a legend for sure. Toy Soldiers video is very creepy and I actually can't bring myself to watch it anymore because Proof gets killed in that video, he says "It was never an option for someone to get killed / why would I want to destroy something I helped build?" and unbeknownst to shady about a month or two after that song came out proof really got killed, rest in peace Big Proof

@@understand9465 Toy Soldiers is 2004 and Proof was killed in 2006. And it had nothing to do with Em. That said, I can't watch the video either. Marshall said casting Proof in that role and having it happen, fcked him up. What might be worse is Proof's bar in 40oz "I'm in the club to beef, you've got to murder me there"😪

This song is one of my very favorites by Eminem because of its raw honesty, and how it basically explains why he's so angry sometimes. "Mockingbird" is another good, emotional one because it's about how being away on tour makes him miss his kids. But my absolute favorite by Em is "Not Afraid", the song he wrote fresh out of rehab for a painkiller addiction that almost killed him. It's an inspirational rallying cry for all those in the same place in their lives.

Because none of the music today is shit with no meaning. How can you have meaning when you cant even articulate words.
