Eminem had not contributed to Hip hop when he started either. Idk why you air heads act the way you do. Everyone is not going to contribute in a big way, some folks are just starting off or just been around for a little while. Spitting, battling and such has zero to do with where you are, it was always about SKILL. Nas entered hip hop when he was 16 years old. Many rappers use to battle or spit back in the day just recording and they were nobody until they become somebody. And need I remind you, a soundcloud rapper today, a KZfaq rapper today has more reach and popularity than someone like Nas has starting out due to how social media and such is. Knox hill has a fan base, songs, 1.1 million plus followers, did Nas have that when he started off? No, 1 million people didn't even hear Nas until he hit the radio. Am I saying Knox better than Nas? People need to remember that Em started as a "shock value" rapper - so just because he said something, it doesn't mean that he believes it. Look at how often he's said things about killing his ex, yet when she was struggling with addiction, he was the one that was there, getting her clean, making sure she had somewhere to live, and covering her bills. Look at how many things he's said that would be considered homophobic, and the things he said about Elton John, yet there are interviews with Elton John where he says Em is far from homophobic. Apparently they're friends, they've helped each other out a few times, and Em even sent Elton and his husband gifts when they got married. No reason to believe that the race stuff is any different. If he was truly racist, he wouldn't have put his head above the parapet to support BLM, or used his Hall of Fame speech to call out all the rappers who came before him (most of whom were black). Actions speak louder than words. Someone needs to remind Benzino of that...
