I’ve never understood why it got so much hate. My brother told me he personally didn’t like it cuz the pitch of his voice in the songs it sounded like he was whining. That’s what he said. I don’t really have a problem with his tone in relapse. Overall an under rated album.

Yes to me 99-04' eminem and 09'-today eminem they feel like two different person. But if you see we made you make of video you can still capture some slim shady vibes... Not to mention the age factor too... I was more energetic and vibrant at 20 then I'm right now at 25. Imagine going from low 20s to low 30s... And going from absolute poverty to being rich... All things considered you understand why he changed so much. And ofc superficial people will say "clone" cause they have to believe in something special to feel something in this world I guess. If I follow this logic I'm a clone of myself too because I'm drastically different if I compare myself to myself from 5years ago 😂😂

Recovering addict here. Good job for getting clean Em, but he’s not telling everyone exactly what he really went through. It must’ve been bad enough that he still is ashamed to let people know. I know this because I’m doing the same thing. He’s saying he graduated from Vicodin to Valium. But one’s an opiate and one’s a benzo. You can do them together but you don’t graduate to Valium. You go from Vicodin to heroin. Or you go from Valium to Xanax. It’s none of our business what he really went through, but for reference, he’s omitted a bunch of personal stuff.

I feel like the interviewer is very awkward, but Eminem was just in a sharing mood somehow - or that despite the awkward questions, the interviewer still created an environment that put him at (relative) ease to talk this openly (by being a good listener, I guess, and it being a private setting, not a talk show?). The interviewer calls this a small interview but asks so heavy and open-ended questions and gets such in-depth answers from him...

I dont know what kind of other drugs he took to get out from the precedent ones but he changed so much lyrically and instrumentally speaking that i dont like his stuff since relapse.. he also took the political route which i hate.. He used to talk about things which i could relate back then with the family traumas, the struggles, same thing about Relapse which was also very relatable on some aspects, of not being able to sleep at night/feeling crazy at times/saying things which are liberating, but not anymore so i think its a pity. To me he is still the best artist of the 21st century, certainly because i grew up with him, because he is the face of the renewal of rap or rather that he owned the transformation of it and in such a speedy fashion, and he was the most solid artist for close to 10 years, eventually signing 50, then snow balling into g-unit and all that so yeah, Em is definitely the guy, but i just dont like the new stuff he’s been doing for over a decade, he lost that shady part of himself now he’s just the shadow of who he used to be i think its kinda sad but in the same time knowing that he’s more stable/healthy on the mental and personal side is preferable. I prefer him doing stuff i dont really like rather than have him in a casket for sure.
