I love songs like this one where Em just flaunts his skills. The subject matter isn’t really about anything specific. He just rhymes as many words as possible. I know some people don’t like songs like this and many criticize Eminem because he does this so often. I think he’s such a legend at this point he doesn’t have anything else to prove so just let him do what he wants with his music. He inspires me to rap and one day I hope I can put words together like he does.

This song has a meaning. The main theme is that Em is trying to find a woman, that, as the title says, is "right for him". He's trying to find his match. But he's actually not talking about women, but about other rappers. He's comparing rap game to dating scene. He's trying to find a rapper that is on his level. Each verse deals with a different era of his career. The first verse is about the days when he was drinking and taking drugs (1999-2007). He says that he didn't find his match back then. The second verse is about his sober days (2008-2014). And again, he says that he didn't find a rapper that could beat him. The last verse is about the future and he basically says that there will be no better rapper as long as he stays in the game. Every single bar of this song is a reference or a metaphor and deals with a concrete situation in Eminem's career. He talks about his drug addiction, his albums and his beefs. It's all there, just hidden. It's called cryptic lyricism (MF DOOM, Aesop Rock or Lupe are known for this).

That is not whats going on…Em is describing impossible things that would happen before finding a woman right for him. And every line has deep meaning, as far as him spilling his soul out on a track. You might wanna get the lyrics and study it in your spare time.🤷🏾‍♂️

Shady XV (the album) and it’s singles are hidden gems that most have never heard. It’s EM’s worst selling album (compilation) but it has some of his most technical tracks. Simply goes to show people don’t like to think while they listen. Great reaction guys!

This is a song you can’t break down bar for bar bc it all hues together. He’s explaining impossible things that would happen before he find a woman thats ‘right’ for him. And the whole ‘swapping occupations’ line about being a doctor in a surgery, then a goofy tries to walk in the operating room to give criticism, flinging a bagel across the room, possibly tripping over something, then he says, “fucked up my concentration, I said, ‘fuck it’ and lost my PATIENTS (double entendre) ..AINT NONE OF YOU DR DRE, SO WHAT IS IT GOT YOU THINKIN YOU CAN FUCK W THIS OPERATION!?” 🐐

A similar track to this and Shady XV would be Vegas. Vegas isn’t as difficult to catch the bars / schemes but it’s dense and the flow / cadence switch ups are ridiculous. EM’s verse on Detroit Vs Everyone (also a single from Shady XV) is a must. Royce and Big Sean also kill it in DVE. (Some will argue Sean has the best verse which is debatable.. EM’s flow on the other hand.. again, unmatched.)
