The black haired woman that walks behind Em and sits in the chair is Wendy Day. She was instrumental in helping him reach a wider audience and in a round about way getting signed to Dre. Because she’s the actual founder of the West Coast Rap Olympics. And she established it FOR Eminem, who’s talent she believed in, so he could reach a wider audience and get noticed. Eminem has stated more than once that she is one of the people he owes his career too, before Dre.

Paul Rosenberg recently said in his new Paul's Podcast that it was Eminem's infinite project that got given to Dr. Dre from Jimmy Ivine which made Dre remember Em's voice from this freestyle he had heard previously to infinite, realising it was the same artist Dre Immediately told jimmy to bring him to LA!!! Love this channel too so glad you go into the technical abilities of Em as it goes way over most people's heads! big ups!

I believe it was actually "slim shady e.p." that was given to dre. At least according to multiple sources including dre himself. Also that explains why so many songs from slim shady e.p. were used in the slim shady l.p. eminems first major label album with dre

From my understanding, Eminem had already signed his deal with interscope at this point, or was in the process. It takes awhile to get signed and record an album, and his slim shady l.p. came out around this time. I believe that's why he was in L.A. at the time. He was recording the album. I might be mistaken but that's what I had read and understood to be the case. According to dre as soon as he heard his mixtape the intern from interscope got at the rap Olympics (the slim shady e.p.) he said to find him immediately because he had never heard anyone rap like that before

His pen game, lyrical ability, the way he manipulates words, gets in and out of the pocket, the venom he spits is unmatched. His stage name should be “bars”. Anyone that says his new stuff isn’t as good as old, is just lost in the nostalgia of his old stuff , he’s only gotten better. Modern day Shakespeare. Crazy thing is, a year or so before this, he didn't think he could outrap some of his idols & was about to give up. Not only did he eclipse them, he's always remained humble & continues to acknowlege his influences and poeple he respects/respect him back. I cannot see how somebody can HATE this guy to the degree that they do. He's become a better rapper & a better man as he's aged. WTF do people want that he hasn't already done? I was like 11 or 12 when "My Name Is" came out. I got to watch all the Eminem TRL music videos & back story/ interviews of his home town with Kurt Loder. Beefs with Christina & Fred all in live time. His shit was shocking like nothing ever before! Had to sneak listening to his music because parents hated it lol.🤣🤣🤣Glad I've been able to watch and follow his career over all these years. The 90s and early 00's had to be the closest thing to the 60s&70s! Our generation is awesome.

Maybe I'm wrong but Em said in the documentary that he gave his Slim Shady EP to some kid in the crowd at the rap Olympics , which so happen to be Jimmy Iovine nephew. That newphew gave it the his uncle Jimmy, in which Jimmy gave it to Dre. So as Dr.Dre says in this documentary the song Low,Down,Dirty was the first song he heard and the song that made him want to work with Eminem. Plus side note Dr Dre thought Eminem was black when he heard the Ep.
